It is essential to surround ourselves with positive influences that promote body positivity and health at any size. In today's world, social media plays a significant role in shaping our thoughts and beliefs about ourselves and others. Therefore, it is essential to follow social media accounts and websites that promote body positivity and healthy habits.

By following such accounts, we can learn from individuals who have embraced their bodies and are leading a healthy life without succumbing to diet culture. The positivity and encouragement we get from such accounts can help us reject negative thoughts and focus on our journey towards self-love and acceptance.
Additionally, we must surround ourselves with people who support us in our journey towards rejecting diet culture. Being around individuals who encourage us to focus on our health and well-being, rather than our size or weight, can help us build confidence and self-esteem. In turn, this can lead to a healthier, happier life.

✨ Surround yourself with positive influences: It's not just about the quantity of people in your life; it's about the quality of those connections. The company we keep significantly influences our mindset, especially when it comes to body image and self-esteem. 🌺

Choose Uplifting Connections: Opt for relationships that uplift and support you on your journey, especially when it comes to intuitive eating and body love. Seek out those who celebrate your successes, appreciate your uniqueness, and understand the importance of self-care.

Avoid Negativity: On the flip side, be mindful of connections that bring negativity into your life, especially concerning your body. Steer clear of those who make unsolicited comments or contribute to an environment that makes you feel insecure. Remember, you have the power to curate your social circle to align with your well-being.

Educate and Communicate: Sometimes, it's helpful to educate friends and family about your journey towards intuitive eating and body respect. Open communication can foster understanding and create a supportive atmosphere where everyone can thrive.

Tag Your Positive Influences: Who are the positive influences in your life? Tag them in the comments below and let's celebrate the power of uplifting connections together! πŸ’–πŸŒŸ

Diet culture is an ingrained part of our society, and it can be seen in the media, advertising, and even in everyday conversations. It is the belief that thinness is the ultimate goal, and that one must restrict their food intake and engage in excessive exercise to attain this goal. However, this ideology is harmful and has a long history of negative effects on individuals and communities.✨

Diet culture can have a significant impact on individuals. It can lead to a negative body image, an unhealthy relationship with food, and even eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. It can also contribute to weight stigma and discrimination, as individuals who do not fit the thin ideal are often judged and shamed.πŸ’—

🌈 Focus on what your body can do, not just what it looks like: Instead of getting caught up in the aesthetics, let's shift our perspective to celebrate the incredible capabilities of our bodies. πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ

Your body is a powerhouse of strength, resilience, and amazing feats. Instead of fixating on appearances, consider what you can achieve. Maybe it's running that extra mile, lifting a weight that once seemed impossible, or practicing a new yoga pose. Each achievement, big or small, is a victory worth celebrating.

Embrace the journey of discovering what your body is capable of, and let that be a source of pride and joy. The more we appreciate our body's abilities, the less significance we place on superficial standards.

So, what amazing feats has your body accomplished recently? Share your proud moments below and let's inspire each other to revel in the awesomeness of our bodies! πŸ’«πŸŽ‰

Negative self-talk can be detrimental to our well-being, particularly when it comes to our body and food choices. It's easy to fall into the trap of criticizing ourselves, but it's important to challenge these negative thoughts. One way to do this is by replacing them with positive affirmations that can help boost our self-esteem.πŸ’—

For example, instead of thinking "I hate my thighs," try saying "I am grateful for my strong legs that allow me to move and enjoy life." Or, instead of saying "I shouldn't have eaten that," remind yourself that it's okay to indulge occasionally and that one meal doesn't define your entire diet.

By challenging negative self-talk and replacing it with positive affirmations, you can start to shift your mindset and cultivate a more positive relationship with your body and food. Remember, you are worthy and deserving of love and respect, no matter your size or shape.✨

20/11/2023

✨ Practice self-care: Taking care of your body is a beautiful way to express self-love. It goes beyond pampering sessions (though those are lovely too!) and involves daily habits that nurture your physical and mental well-being. 🌿

Remember, self-care is a personalized journey, and it's about finding what works best for you. Whether it's nourishing your body with wholesome foods, ensuring you get enough restful sleep, or engaging in regular exercise, these acts are acts of kindness to yourself.

Healthy eating isn't about restriction; it's about fueling your body with the nutrients it craves. Sleep isn't a luxury; it's a vital component of overall wellness. Exercise isn't punishment; it's a celebration of what your body can do.

Let's redefine self-care as a holistic and loving practice. It's not selfish; it's necessary for your well-being. So, what self-care practices resonate with you? Share your favorites below! πŸ’šβœ¨ "

Embracing intuitive eating can be a game-changer for individuals seeking a healthier and more positive relationship with food.

Rather than following strict diets or counting calories, intuitive eating encourages you to tune in to your body's hunger and fullness signals. This approach allows you to eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full, without feeling guilty or deprived.πŸ’—

13/11/2023

🌟 Stop comparing yourself to others! 🌟 It's natural to glance at someone else's journey and wonder, but constant comparison can be one of the most damaging things we do to ourselves. Each of us is unique, with our own set of strengths and weaknesses, successes and challenges. Remember, your path is entirely your own, and it's okay if it looks different from someone else's.

Embracing your uniqueness is a powerful act of self-love. Instead of comparing, let's celebrate the diversity of our journeys. What works for someone else may not be what's best for you, and that's perfectly fine. The beauty of life lies in its variety, and your uniqueness adds a special color to the canvas of existence.

Let's foster a community that values individuality, encourages personal growth, and supports one another on our distinct paths. It's not about being better or worse than someone else; it's about being the best version of yourself. So, let go of the comparison game, and let your authenticity shine! πŸ’–βœ¨ "

You might be wondering:

What the heck is intuitive eating?

🩷 Intuitive eating promotes a healthy attitude toward food and body image.

🩷 Asks us to tune in to our body, eat when hungry and stop when satisfied.

🩷 It also does not restrict you from eating certain foods, but rather having your favourite foods moderation.

🩷 To eat intuitively, you may need to relearn how to trust your body and develop eating skills, which means you need to distinguish between physical and emotional hunger 🧠

Intuitive eating is:

β–ͺ️ Learning to include all foods mindfully

β–ͺ️ Prioritizing nutrient dense foods daily

β–ͺ️ Eating in a way that makes you feel best

What intuitive eating is NOT:

A free for all ❌
Eating sugar non-stop ❌
Omitting fruits + veggies out ❌
Dismissing health as priority ❌
