I am so excited to be among the Finalists of the Awards 🌟 as Best Newcomer after recently joining this lovely gang ❣️

I've been lucky enough to sing at hundreds of weddings over the last two decades and it is one of the biggest privileges to be part of something so beautiful.

I absolutely love what I do and I'm so grateful to all my couples for allowing me to continue to have one of the best jobs in the world 🎶

That's more than enough for me, but a wee trophy for the mantle piece would be splendid 🤩

🎶 Hymnspiration 🎶

For those of you having a Church Ceremony, you have the option of having the Responsorial Psalm read or sung. In an Irish Wedding I would sing it 99% of the time.

The hymns are based on the Book of Psalms, and I think there are 150 in total. So when choosing, it has to be an actual Psalm, as opposed to just a hymn that you might use for Communion, if that makes sense. Some priests are lenient about this but I think it's more appropriate if you can choose an actual Psalm.

It is placed between the First and Second readings. So be sure to let the 2nd reader know that there's a song before it's their turn. It helps if they can be seated during the First Reading and the Psalm, so they can relax without the whole congregation eyeballing them at the pulpit for 3 minutes 😅 just something to think about, if your Church has some chairs on the altar!

Signing The Register ✍️

The amount of songs you'll need at this point during your ceremony will depend on a few factors -

▪️What type of venue you're getting married in - i.e. church or hotel

▪️How many photos you'd like during this time

▪️Your photographer's plan

So, the type of venue - Typically in a church ceremony there'll be enough time for two songs.. There are usually more staged photos on the altar with your witnesses and sometimes full bridal party.. at the Signing table and then some on the altar itself..

In a hotel setting, it's often a lot quicker and there's typically only time for one song..

Your vision - You may choose to have family members included in the photos which will add to the time..

Your photographer's vision - they may have a plan or style that they only want witnesses or would rather get some bridal party and/or family shots at this stage, weather and time can be a factor.. so you get the idea - the more photos the more singinnnng!

General rule of thumb,
always pick two songs.. 🎶
stating your preference in case there's only time for one 🙂

I came down the stairs this morning to a beautiful thank you card from one of my wonderful couples in the letterbox 🤗

Niamh & Jason were married in the stunning
last month.. they were a dream to deal with in the planning stages and it was such a pleasure to share in their day, two beautiful souls ✨️

My first outdoor ceremony of the season on the
lawns... with the ever lovelyfarrell.celebrant officiating 🩷

Niamh walked down the aisle to 'The one' by
Kodaline.. she said it was perfect, exactly what she wanted and how she imagined it.. such a joy to hear, that I can make wishes come to fruition 🩷

I sang 'Marry me' by Train as they signed the register and then they bopped down the aisle to 'Kiss me' by Sixpence none the richer. Myself and Eamonn then played at the Drinks Reception until the dinner bell,
playing some requests that the couple had and some for their family and friends too.. a fabulous day all round.. one for the memory book 🥰

One of my absolute favourite venues in Ireland just happens to be in my home county..

Horetown House is a charming 18th century exclusive wedding venue in the heart of the Wexford countryside that exudes style and elegance.. and they just happen to be friends with the cutest Alpacas you'll ever lay your eyes on 🤗

The White room is one of my favourite rooms to perform in.. the natural wood makes for fabulous acoustics.. and the beautiful Moongate and florals, coupled with the natural light all contribute to the grace of this unique ceremony space.

And how magical is the Garden room?? 🤩
With it's indoor pole tent, twinkling fairy lights and luscious florals, it's the stuff wedding dreams are made of.. you (and up to 200 guests 👌) will not want the night to end 🎊

Did I mention the adorable Shepherd Huts that are on site that can accommodate your guests? 🛖

To top it all off, this is a sustainable venue that supports local, handcrafted, environmentally conscious products and they also offer an exquisite dining experience that supports local farmers, prioritising farm-to-fork dining 🍽

I mean.... come on!!

You'll be in great hands with Niamh 🙂 and all of the crew if you choose Horetown House. I wish I could sing here every week! I have had to turn down so many couples getting married here because I was already booked 😭

But luckily for me I got to return earlier this month for Daire and Stephen 🥰
Myself and Eamonn 🎸 thoroughly enjoyed performing at the really heartwarming Ceremony and sunny Drinks Reception,
for the sweetest couple you could meet 💕

How blessed I am to do what I love and be part of these magical moments in people's lives.. in my happiest of places..

What a fantastic, music filled week, jam packed with Christmas songs!! And it's only Thursday 🤩

Tuesday afternoon saw me in the wonderful for Aoife & Sean's big day 🍾💕

That evening myself and performed at the magical at a 1920's themed Christmas party which was utterly jazztastic! My first time to sing in The Banking Hall, absolutely breathtaking

Wednesday afternoon we were invited to sing at the Christmas Party in Kilmore House.. the smell of mulled wine and mince pies filled the festive foyer and we were blessed with the company of the fabulous Snow Queen herself, 😍
A big thank you to CK and all the staff for their warm welcome and hospitality ✨️

We finished off the day singing, dancing and chatting with the brilliantly beautiful bunch in Bloomfield Health Services.. thanks to Marie and all the staff for looking after us ❣️

Myself and will be in the this Friday 16th and again Friday 23rd. Come along and join us 'Rocking around the Christmas tree' 🤪🎄🤟
