Happy Imbolc Day! Imbolc is celebrated on Feb. 1 and is the half way point between Winter solstice and Spring Equinox. The Celtic pagans saw it as the return of the light and honored the pagan goddess of fire, Brigid. In Christianity, Brigid was the only women to be sainted and is the patroness of babies, blacksmiths, boatsmen, cattle farmers and children. In Ireland, Scotland and Isle of Man, it is considered the first day of Spring.
