You and I are able to do far more than we realize.
Today, I’m grateful to know from my gym experience, from training, that I can apply discipline elsewhere as I decide it is beneficial in life.
What are you grateful for?
Lifting life reality (mine):
When the lift is done but you don’t want to take off the gloves ‘cause it means it’s time to acknowledge there are other things to do with the day. *sigh*
My privileges exist where I have taken and do take responsibility.
My pains exist where I have not.
Today, I’m grateful for the flowers I see on my daily walks.
What are you grateful for?
Today, I’m grateful for every moment I LIVE, and that I don’t waste.
I’m grateful for coffee and a high speed of communication.
What are you grateful for?
What are you telling yourself about yourself?
Today, I’m grateful for good sleep, coffee, and my yoga mat.
What are you grateful for?
❤️
Simple concept.
The application of it is pretty standard in my life and I don’t usually think about doing it or that I’m doing it. I just do it.
BUT… keeping it in application and having it as an intentional standard operating basis is what keeps me moving forward even when things become difficult or seem impossible.
Some moments, I have to choose, over and over again, to focus on the positive.
It is there. The good hasn’t gone away.
Every single step forward that we make, we are walking away from some things.
People, places, things. Ideas, traditions.
Moments.
My daughter mentioned to me earlier this summer that she was sad about a particular “walking forward from” experience.
I told her “May you always be leaving behind wonderful experiences as you step forward to more wonderful experiences.”
She asked why I would wish such a thing.
“Because, then your life will be full of wonderful moments.”
Life is not about every moment lasting forever. It is about living our best in every moment.
So I just keep moving.
Run, walk, crawl if I have to, but
JUST KEEP MOVING.
Good or bad, go ahead and experience it so you can go forward.
Today, I’m grateful for being well-rested, and knowing to make that a priority.
I’m grateful for wonderful neighbors and friends.
I’m grateful for daily walks outside.
I’m grateful that I’m willing to make decisions rapidly rather than sit in “maybes”.
What are you grateful for?
Emphasis on “from where you are.”
How many times I’ve tried/observed others try to go forward from somewhere they’d like to be.
To change conditions, truly, the steps must be taken from the position one is currently holding.
Ya feel me?
Highly recommend: Imagine this.
What we put our attention on, we strengthen.
Today, I’m grateful for the peace I create in my life.
I’m grateful to live my own truth and allow others to live theirs.
I’m grateful I recognize more when communication is beneficial and when it’s not, and to listen or end the communication as appropriate.
What are you grateful for?
My flex is that I don’t give up.
What’s your flex?
What are you saying to yourself about yourself?
