Our cofounder @PhreshTaylor got the opportunity to tell his story to some of the young men that we’re working with after school. They created their own podcast and asked him to be a guest so they can hone their skills on the mic before their first episode. We needed more opportunities for our young black men to discuss the issues that they deal with daily so it’s great that they decided to bring their idea to life. We’re looking for more black men to join us for insightful conversations on future episodes. I’n order for us to really help our youth, we have to be invested in conversations that allow them to express the type of future they see for themselves. The reality is some may not know, and that’s ok. The goal is to create more opportunities for them for them to have these kinds of conversations with their peers. When there is a clear destination in mind, identifying potential routes (I.E. daily habits/ activities) becomes easier.
