Organ meats are incredibly important for obligate carnivores, and as a primarily carnivorous species, theyre good for us too. Eat nose to tail, the organs are loaded with important nutrients that you dont always get in high amounts from the usual cuts of meat. Modern western diet has been reduced to mostly the juicy parts of the animal and not alot of the slimy purple stuff, but in the past, and today still, in places with a primarily meat based diet (Mongolian pastoral nomads, etc) organ meats were/are considered an important part of ones daily diet. Stuff like liver is LOADED with B12 (the sh*t vegans cant get, lol nerds) and Vitamin A, which increases testosterone and muscle protein synthesis, as well as all your essential amino acids, and iron, which loads of people on the average western diet are deficient in. Liver is incredibly good for you, especially so for pregnant/nursing women, its basically a super food. Eat your liver. Eat your organ meats. Dont like the taste? Too bad. Quit being a bitch and grind that sh*t up and eat with some sauerkraut and keffir. Its good for you. And yes I just typed up all that sh*t as an excuse to post a video of one of my ferrets eating haggis. It amused me and I wanted to share. All the facts about liver and organ meats ARE true tho.
