Here’s another custom project using a loved one’s jeans and Wrangler shirt - a market apron! I didn’t have a pattern for this one, which allowed me to get creative with using the best parts of the shirt for apron pockets and accents. I love how it turned out!!

I was asked to turn a beloved, but damaged quilt into a hoodie for a lovely vendor at the last market I was at, and I really hope she’ll be as happy with the results as I am! It was such an honour to be trusted with giving new life to this quilt ❤️

I’ve always wanted to learn to make fancy friendship bracelets, and now I’m hooked! I’ll have a bunch for sale at the markets this weekend, so let’s be friends!!!

24/06/2024

I’ll have some kid’s bucket hats at the Regina Beach Farmer’s market on Sunday, June 30th, and if they don’t all sell, I’ll still have them at the Sunshine Arts Festival on July 1st! Come on down to the beach for the long weekend!

I’ve got a couple of markets coming up on July long weekend at Regina Beach, and I’m working on some new summer products… including some amazing bucket hats like this one, which uses my favourite fabric!!! Roar!

Making my second using the amazing pattern from This time I wanted a floppier hood, so I left out the batting, and used some fabric from my stash for the body. Loving this one so far!

I’m having a hard time finding the motivation to finish these dollies for some reason, but they’re so cute when they’re done! One down, two to go!

Finished!!! It’s going to be perfect for camping this summer! I used up some favourite scraps, a couple of pieces of favourite fabric I’d been saving, and two whole pillowcases from the donate pile. What a great pattern!!

It begins…

We found a mystery bouquet of flowers in our site this morning when we woke up. A quick google search did not indicate gang activity, and Ryan conducted a thorough investigation, determining they came from the site across from us originally.

It’s a foggy day on the coast, but from coffee this morning to campfire this evening, it feels like a pretty great day

Finished another one of gramma’s kits, this time, crewel work. This one was a challenge not only because it’s a new skill, but because the kit was made in 1981, and the included yarn kept fraying and breaking. Not all of gramma’s list have been my personal style, but this one definitely is!

02/10/2022

I’ve been working through cross stitch patterns my gramma accumulated, but never finished. This one was tricky because the stitches are so so teeny! I chose to alter the phrase a little…

My gramma recently moved from her apartment to a care home, meaning she has a lot less space for all her stuff. I was officially in charge of “craft stuff” in helping move her, and found several kits I just have to complete. I finished the Laundry Today cross stitch earlier this week, and the embroidered Help Wanted sign (which was unopened since 1981!) today.

Finally finished this quilt, and it looks gorgeous hanging above the stairs in my new house!

03/05/2022

Finally got my sewing machine set up after the move. It’s a pretty great view from my new sewing room!

12/04/2022

My sewing room has been packed and loaded on a moving truck, but it turns out cross stitch is super portable!!

Six rows done, eleven to go. This quilt is tedious to make, but I love it so far!!!

I spent the day cutting 36 different colours of triangles prepping for my next quilt. I can’t wait to see this one come together!!
