Here’s a glimpse into what it takes me to hand make something. Uncomfortable positions, needle pokes, blisters on my fingers. When I make something for you, know that I love you, because often I literally hurt myself in the process. I call that love.

I got a pack of gorgeous black and gold fabrics when I was in Canmore last month, and immediately began imagining a gold and black lap quilt. I finally found some time to get started and it’s even more beautiful than I imagined. I’ve got some more work to do, but I am LOVING this one!! If I can give it up, it will be available for sale via dm or at the Creston Valley Arts Council Christmas Craft Fair next month! #sewing #quilting #handmade #shoplocal

That ugly quilt is coming together, and it actually isn’t nearly as bad as I expected!! I’m using only rescued fabrics for the quilt top, and I’m really excited to see the finished product now!!

I’m working on a quilt for my favourite son, and I got so close to finishing it today, but then realized I stitched my ENTIRE quilt sandwich together in the wrong order. If you need me, I’ll be ripping 300 inches of stitches. Here’s a peek at the part I didn’t mess up!
