Wow, inspired by Reese’s book club with two of my favorite authors, Cheryl Strayed and Tembi Locke.
Imagine the author reading this critique. Fast forward 172 years and these books are household names.
In the quiet pre-dawn hours yesterday I wound my way along a dark Tennessee highway reflecting on how surreal it feels to write a book. A pink glow kissed the sky and I saw I was surrounded by mountains stretching out in every direction.
Later in the day, I met with the lovely Amy D**g and we talked through the big ideas behind my book. With Amy's coaching, I'll write my Author's Note to say why I'm writing this story and why readers will relate to it.

I really liked what Gary Vaynerchuk says in this video about taking the scary leap into the unknown. I've had a recurring dream of falling into big water, but a few months ago I dialed up my courage and slept in a turnout on Hwy 1 under a thick blanket of stars right next to the Pacific Ocean.
