I wish I could get my act together earlier enough to post this in the morning, but then again, I really enjoy not being on social media for a few hours a day☺️ᵉˢᵖᵉᶜⁱᵃˡˡʸ ᵒⁿ ᵗʰᵉ ʷᵉᵉᵏᵉⁿᵈ

HAPPY SUNDAY!! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. I for sure had one that could’ve gone one of two ways, but boy am I happy it was a successful one!!

As a new ACE CGFI I wanted to share the answer I was thinking about during my entire run. Why did I want to be a certified group fitness instructor?

1️⃣ Provide safe and effective classes for my participants.
2️⃣Allow group fitness, movement, exercises, etc. classes accessible to everyone by making it economically attainable.

3️⃣ MAKE FITNESS FUN!! (my personal favorite)

No more punishing yourself with a hard workout. Excercise can be used as an escape from daily stress, anxiety, or even just a fun thing to do! THATS RIGHT FITNESS IS FUN!!!! 

If I can make you say at the end of a class or during one move “damn, I did good” or “that was kinda fun” that brings me so much joy!!

The mindset around fitness should be about being proud of yourself and what your body can do! Have fun! So what if you can’t do everything at the heaviest weight?? Or maybe that Zumba class had a really hard dance?? Just move! Have fun with yourself. You showed up to class, and that’s all the matters. 

I challenge every single person to smile at least once during their workouts. I promise it makes all the difference!

Track Workout on this beautiful Saturday Morning. It was hard facing the cold this morning but hey I started with three layers on top and ended up with just one so I still got my sweat on!! Luckily no one was at the track this morning but remember to wear a mask when in public. The athleta masks are amazing! I have been running with mine on and can barely tell it’s there. Highly recommend😍

1) Interval Training described in the photo

2) Walk for two laps to cool that heart rate down.

3) Quick Cardio:
4 rounds. 45 sec per move. 15 sec break between each move.

4) Ab Finisher:
35 second per move two times through. 7 minutes total. No breaks.

Happy Friday🤩

Huge midterm today, so I took that pre exam stress to the track. Nothing like putting your body to work and getting moving. No major stress after this 12 lap interval workout (found in highlights). All I have now is normal exam jitters. Currently I’m sitting here eating my big smoothie breakfast to fuel my body and my mind.

Well well well. This morning was amazing!!! I love the support I get from my family everyday. They are amazing. Although it wasn’t a super relaxing day afterwards (ugh homework) I still am in the bests of moods.

I got asked today what’s my end goal and honestly I don’t have one. I run because I love it. I do have one goal though, by the time I’m 25 I want to qualify and run in the Boston Marathon. I will do it!! You heard it here first!! But for now here’s to more distance runs! Happy Sunday!!!

As we enter another weekend, I just want to ask you two things. Is what your doing this weekend really safe? Do you really need to go to that party at college?

I get it, we all miss our friends, but we have to be smart. I won’t lie, I do have a small group of 5 people I see outside of my family. My family and my quarantine family is all I need and all anyone really needs.

I want to be able to sweat and move with you all in person, but we have so much work to do before then. So, for now make smart decisions and WEAR A MASK.

No full body Friday workout post tonight. I’m saving most of the workout for Tuesday’s bootcamp! I will post the workout after class as always.

Just a quick sneak peak into our Sunday morning! No deep conversation, just a sweaty video followed by some yummy food!

Almost 2 weeks into quarantine my mom and I have started this little Sunday tradition. I think we’ve missed maybe 5 sundays. It started as a training for me and I had my llama as a body guard. Now it is honestly something I look forward to every week, not a dreadful long run. I love being out in nature that long just moving and listening to music. We then will go home make a nice big breakfast and watch CBS Sunday morning. It’s nothing spectacular, but it is so peaceful. It’s our Sunday recovery, and just allows us to end and start the week on a great note, both mentally and physically.
