As a worshipper of the Lord, I daily try to set aside time to be in His presence. Some days, it’s easy, and some days, it’s far from it. Life gets busy, there are things to do, places to be, relationships to cultivate, responsibilities to fulfill, battles to be fought. It seems to never end. And we get weary.

In that state is when the enemy comes against us the strongest. He attempts to keep us in a restless state of mind.

I encourage you, if it’s for a few minutes, wherever you’re at, reach out to the Lord and let Him in…just say “Lord Jesus, come in.”

Draw near to God, and HE will draw near to YOU!

In His presence we are CHANGED. Old mindsets fade. Anxious thoughts cease. Problems grow dimmer.
The enemy NO longer has a foothold.

In His presence, peace reigns. Mercy covers. Grace abounds. Love conquers.

He will make known our path because HE is life. He will replace all the striving with His strength. He will supply our need to keep moving forward.

In His presence, there is fullness of joy😊💕🙌

“For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?— the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.”

This is David’s testimony and just a reminder to all of us…the Lord goes before us, protects us, equips us, secures us, and delivers us!
Be encouraged and rest in the Lord’s strength and might today.

If I’ve learned any about seeking and knowing the will of God, I’ve learned that He truly paves the way and establishes the steps He wants us to take. When we are in God’s will, we don’t have to force the doors open. In His supernatural power and authority, HE opens those doors.

In the process of waiting on those doors to open, we can prayerfully make a plan and do what we know to do.
Just like the example of David before he was king of Israel. He knew He was called to something higher..yet he did not rush getting there. He knew there was a plan. But before that, as he waited, he stayed faithful to where He was…spending time with his Father, keeping his skills sharp, and caring for his flock.

What an example we can follow..THAT is how we can wait well! Consistent obedience, unwavering steadfastness, full surrender. God moves in a faithful heart💗

There is insurmountable peace in WALKING into God-ordained seasons!
NO rushing, NO striving, NEVER questioning.
But rather Simply. Restfully. Securely. WALKING in step with Him.

Help us to hear Your voice, Lord, as we make our plans and YOU establish our steps!

To my mother on Mother’s Day…

Thank you for driving me to all my ministry meetings (we have lots of fun lol), giving me sound counsel when I need it, and being a listening ear when I need to talk things out. You’re a GEM of a mother and you have always loved me so well. You’ve made a lasting impact in my life. You truly embody the characteristic of 1 Corinthians 13 love that says “love endures all things…”

As I’m reading through Daniel, I’ve already seen many instances that people come to know God and His power and majesty through the obedience of his servants. These faithful servants put themselves in life or death danger yet were not moved by the commands and decrees of the earthly kings.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego obeyed God and because of it were cast into the super hot fire for not worshipping a golden statue. But they were not harmed. A seed was planted in king Nebuchadnezzar‘s heart because of their faithfulness and obedience. Later on after Daniel interpreted dreams for him, he fully surrendered and repented of his wicked ways and turned to God.

Daniel obeyed God and because of it was thrown into the lion’s den for praying to his God. But he was not harmed. King Darius believed and decreed God as the one true God because of his faithfulness and obedience.

Our obedience and yielding to God, even when it makes us uncomfortable or puts us in danger, can create testimonies and soften hearts of those around us. God honors our obedience and when non believers see the favor of God on your life as we choose him daily, they begin to wonder…is your God the one true God? Should I believe?
We can be seed planters or even see the full harvest!! How amazing is that?

Stay faithful to God, even when it gets hard and uncomfortable. Your faithfulness to God can display His power and favor on YOUR life…and cause others to believe!

Dear single sister,

Today may be an overrated day for you. For some, it may feel like the loneliest day of the year. All your friends and peers are in relationships and have plans tonight with their significant other.

“When it is going to be my turn?”

Dear sister, Father God is after your heart today. Everyday, He is pursuing and chasing after you, wanting to commune and have relationship with you! He knows the depths of your heart and thoughts of your mind more than anyone else, even yourself.
Long ago, He formed you in your mother’s womb with the most unique plan mapped out for your life. He didn’t just pick and choose. He crafted you with great care and with specific vision! He gave you passions and talents to cultivate for His kingdom’s purposes. He has placed specific people in your paths of life to help you learn, grow, and build beautiful relationships. These things are all for a reason, higher than our thoughts or ways (Isaiah 55:8).

For this day, be encouraged and reminded that God’s love is a shield. In His abundant mercy, He is shielding and protecting you from things and situations that do not align with His sovereign will and that do not benefit you.

You may wonder why that boy was talking to you then completely disappeared. Or that other guy never reciprocates the feelings you have for him. Perhaps you’re questioning if you should be back in that past relationship just because it made you feel like you were wanted or had a purpose.

Maybe nothing is moving forward with these men because God knows that man is NOT the one for you. He is shielding you from more hurt and confusion. He loves you too much for you to settle for anything other than His perfect will!

Dear single sister, don’t lose hope. God has heard all your prayers and has collected all your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8). He knows the desires of your heart and, as you delight in Him, those desires will be fulfilled in His pleasing and perfect will (Psalm 37:4). No good thing does He withhold from those who walk in righteousness (Psalm 84:11).

Don’t stop praying and asking God to grant your desire to be married. The love of a husband and wife is one of the most beautiful and true loves…but there’s nothing like being loved by Jesus.
Take time to delight in His love and life today. Drink from the well that never leaves you empty. Eat off the bread that never leaves you unsatisfied. Your aching heart can find rest in the comforting arms of Jesus, who loved you enough to give His life for you so you could have relationship with Father God.
That truly is the reward…

No matter how the movies make it look, no man on this earth will complete you or fulfill your every desire. But there is one perfect in Heaven who has already fulfilled every promise He has made to You. His name is Jesus. If you have Jesus in your heart, you have all you need. Completely. ❤️❤️

”Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.“

God brought this scripture to my mind as I was praying the other day. The thought I prayed before that scripture was “ I am SECURE in you.”

Other translations of Psalm 16:5..

“You GUARD all that is mine” (NLT)
“You MAINTAIN my lot” (NKJV)
“You SUPPORT my lot” (LSB)
“You HOLD my future” (CSB)***my favorite

The word “lot” in this context is referring to David’s inheritance. Basically, all that was to come from his line (aka Jesus)! Even with all that was happening to David, as people were plotting to take His life and ruin him, God promised a descendant from David to reign on the throne forever (2 Samuel 7:13).

Y’all, I’ll let the Word speak for itself…He guards, maintains, supports, and holds YOUR lot…present, past, and future!!! And according to the first part of that verse…HE is our portion! Our lot!
So with all that said, our God and His divine Will is TRUSTWORTHY. It’s secure. It’s the safest place to be🙌 Who can testify?
Even when doing and being in His will is hard, I will find there is an insurpassable peace that surrounds me. I have felt this especially when there were closed doors that hurt really hard. There was this precious peace that gave me the strength to move forward.

David had lots come against him, but He knew and He remembered and He meditated on the Lord’s promise…his inheritance. And he kept moving forward in faith, knowing God had him. He has YOU today!!

Maybe there’s someone right now that is in a place of seeking Him for the next steps and desiring as you make decisions to be in His Will…and trying to trust Him at the same time.
As you wait and as you pray, continue to be faithful to what He’s placed in front of you. That’s His Will for you NOW. And when it’s hard, pray for His strength and CHOOSE to walk in it. You can trust that He will supply ALL your needs.. He holds your future and WILL guide you in the way you should go. 💕🙌

What a wonderful A Night of Rest with April Rodgers @ Cedar Crest! She brought a refreshing word about the woman in Mark 14 that poured an alabaster jar of perfume over Jesus’ head. She gave her ALL to Him and “she did what she could…” and Jesus said “she has done a beautiful thing.”

“She did what she could…”

Your job, parenthood, friendships, skills, talents, hobbies, ministry, taking care of someone, mundane tasks. Whatever your life looks like. Even if it doesn’t look significant or much in your eyes. In those things, whatever you give to God daily in worship to Him…it’s a BEAUTIFUL thing to Him. 🤍

”The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.“

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭145‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭ESV‬‬💜💜

That last line. “His mercy is over ALL that he has made.” ALL people! Whether they are righteous or unrighteous. Christian or non-Christian..
ALL have access to His mercy today and everyday!🙌

2023 was a year full of sweet surprises! Lots of traveling, singing, and friendships. It also was a year of overcoming and healing. Main thing is this: God brought me through just as He always has and I saw His goodness once more!🙌

Reflecting on Isaiah 43:18-19 this morning:
