I pray you are encouraged in the Lord today. Three main things:-obey and wait on the Lord because it’s worth it-God bestows favor and gives us the desires of our hearts-God pulls us through trials 🤍🙌🤍🙌🤍🙌

Another sweet worship moment at Solid Rockers a couple weeks ago. 😌🙏🏻Keith Green wrote this song when he was feeling numb toward the Lord. As he expressed these honest words to God, his heart softened. Sometimes we have to go back to the beginning. When we were lovingly gazed upon with the eyes of Grace and received His salvation. When He first changed our hearts. When he filled our life with purpose... And we simply praise HIM. This song ministered to me a lot during Covid. I was so confused what God was doing, where I was at. My heart felt numb to everything and even to worship. But these words flooded my soul and filled me with renewed hope and adoration for God. 🥲🩷In this incredible walk with God, because it is in fact incredible and life changing, we will get weary and tired. Even numb. Don’t feel shame in that but rather vulnerably draw near to the Throne of God. He sees you and wants to replenish your soul and fill you with hope! He looks at His children with FAVOR😍 and for those who don’t believe and are weary, I encourage you to draw near because only Jesus can heal and change your heart. He WANTS you and He LOVES you!!!

The FACT is we are in an age where mental health is more prevalent than ever..The TRUTH is that Jesus HEALS all those in emotional and mental bondage! ”When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.“‭‭ Psalms‬ ‭94‬:‭19‬ ‭The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.“ Psalms 9:9 “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” Psalms 23:4 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.“‭‭ Psalms‬ ‭147‬:‭3‬ There have been moments where I was so low and so crippled by fear…to the point where I couldn’t move. But when I called on Jesus, I felt that heaviness lift!!! I’m also thankful for others who have helped fight these battles in prayer! As I’m reading through Daniel, I’ve already seen many instances that people come to know God and His power and majesty through the obedience of his servants. These faithful servants put themselves in life or death danger yet were not moved by the commands and decrees of the earthly kings. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego obeyed God and because of it were cast into the super hot fire for not worshipping a golden statue. But they were not harmed. A seed was planted in king Nebuchadnezzar‘s heart because of their faithfulness and obedience. Later on after Daniel interpreted dreams for him, he fully surrendered and repented of his wicked ways and turned to God. Daniel obeyed God and because of it was thrown into the lion’s den for praying to his God. But he was not harmed. King Darius believed and decreed God as the one true God because of his faithfulness and obedience. Our obedience and yielding to God, even when it makes us uncomfortable or puts us in danger, can create testimonies and soften hearts of those around us. God honors our obedience and when non believers see the favor of God on your life as we choose him daily, they begin to wonder…is your God the one true God? Should I believe? We can be seed planters or even see the full harvest!! How amazing is that? Stay faithful to God, even when it gets hard and uncomfortable. Wow, what a joy last night was at Emmanuel Baptist Church - Shreveport!! 🙌🤗 I took these sweet people through the evolution of worship music and mentioned some the key pioneers of each decade, along with their music, that helped shape worship music and culture. A word to those fighting depression: It’s okay to admit you’re disappointed. It’s okay to face that emotion head on and not hide from it. It’s okay to be real and say “hey, I’m not happy about how this turned out.” However, if we dwell on it too long and not move forward, we can easily allow depression to rule our life. Don’t let depression take root. Remember the many Psalms David wrote and prayed? At the beginning of each Psalm, he was straight up honest and real with God about the sorrow, hurt, and fear he was facing. I’m so glad we can be honest with God. THEN at the end of each Psalm, David switched over to PRAISING God and proclaiming His truth over his life.That’s what we ought to do. Of course it’s easier said than done. And maybe David didn’t feel it when he worshipped and praised and shouted, but STILL he chose to believe and move forward. He chose to magnify the Lord in the situation. And because of that he was filled with hope. Friend, God sees you right NOW. He sees the aching in your heart. He felt that pain. He empathizes with you. He wants to help you rise above the situation. He wants to help you overcome! Don’t lose hope, trust Him, and remember who He is. Run to His refuge, cling to His truth, and abide in His love. Allow Him to heal your heart, renew your mind and restore your soul 🤍“Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.“ Psalm 42:11
