Soooo I failed and couldn’t get any more filming in for the full 7 days, but we cranked out 5 videos utilizing the 🩷

How do we feel about this sort of content? Personally this was very challenging but a lot of fun for me to commit and see what I could whip up.

To be back here in 101, the diner where I got my first job as a busser, and to do this fun shoot with my super talented cousin - is just a big cup filler for me. This was so much fun and brought back so many memories. I feel so lucky and excited to have a creative cousin who enjoys doing this s**t just as much as me. Couldn’t have captured it better and I’m excited for our future creations 👀

Hey bi**os, SO incredibly excited to announce that I will be partaking in a new month long artist residency at in collaboration with !

During my residency, I’ll be working on a special mini series dedicated to highlighting hospo legends who work in restaurants/cafes along the iconic Karangahape Road and sharing their stories.

Since moving to Auckland, I’ve been completely enamoured by K road and so desperate to learn more about the chefs, servers, baristas, and owner/operators that exist within it. There’s constant reminders of home with the grunge, edge, and creativity bursting through the street, but also just unfiltered, genuine, and communal hospo. At the end of the day, we’re all just human beings wanting to form a connection and doing so over a feed and a drink - which is the absolute essence of Karangahape Road. I can’t wait to share this journey with you all! 💕

Hospo Bimbo is nearing a year old, as of April, and i'd love to keep this ball rolling and I’m ready to take this relationship to the next step. I'm super proud of the brand I've built and the dedication I've put into it these last handful of months. Classic me thinking this would be easy. Unsure how, but up to this point, i've done everything on my own - from producing and editing to the branding and promoting. The entire process has been extremely rewarding and such a great learning experience, and quite frankly, i'm addicted now.
The mission is to keep growing, and literally get the show on the road by traveling to America's best diners and sitting down over coffee with the people who run them. Back of house or front of house, I want to get these stories heard and film the whole thing. Thankfully, I have some creative pals who are going to assist me along the way.
Next summer, I'd like to spend 6 weeks cruising, eating, coffee consuming, but more importantly - seeking, chatting, documenting, and producing the content I believe Hospo Bimbo should be. At present, i've slowly collected equipment over time: mics, audio interfaces, pop filters, headphones, hardware, etc etc. For now? I’m in the research and planning phase of this project. Still early days. By supporting me, you'll help me get my hands on a camera to get more eyeballs on the journey, and.. maybe some funding for pancakes along the 101.

Hey bi**os! I hope you have been enjoying the podcast so far. As this season is wrapping up, I've got some pretty slick ideas for improving the podcast and even have a new project up my sleeve.

Podcasting is hard work. It takes a lot of time and money to get this gremlin spilling out into your ears and building a brand that is what I hope to be a perfect representation of Hospo and how I see it. I have absolutely loved doing the work so far! In order for me to take this thing to the next level, I need some help from you all. At this stage, I don't have a sponsor (yet!) and would love to keep creating and take the pod on the road next year.

The next step is to start video recording episodes and uploading to YouTube, as well as traveling to the states (once the world opens back up) and documenting the whole journey - from good eats, restaurant visits, Walmart RV camping, to of course funny chats with the good folks behind the scenes. I've also started a blog that I will keep up to date, and will continue to hear your ideas/stories and put them to use!
