Importers here in Ghana must destroy (burn) unsellable goods in order to make an insurance claim. Clip 2: An informal dumpsite comprised of ~60% secondhand clothing waste. The dumpsite is often burnt to stop clothing and e-waste from toppling over into the river. Clip 3: Tangled masses of secondhand clothing waste washing up on Accra’s beaches. Donate to The Secondhand Solidarity Fund to support the people most impacted by Big Fashion’s Excess.
