Our Roots
Our family’s great adventures through Colorado’s back country lead us on a path of foraging. Coming from the restaurant industry, we have always been intrigued by the natural foods around us and our curiosity peaked when we found our first edible mushroom. It sent us on a path of discovery and study. From that moment on, we have spent countless days gaining knowledge about the world we live in and how much of our natural world is covered in mycelium (the mushroom producing organism). Through our curiosity of this wondrous life form, we began the journey of cultivating mushrooms. It has been an amazing experience to work with an organism that is neither plant nor animal.
