Continuing with the work for the EarlyAccess of ToziuhaNight in october, this week I finish the last event that will be released in the early, I have also commissioned new illustrations that will replace my drawings for the flashbacks, here's a sample, I love the new look of the Ahuizote, whose mask was inspired by a real aguizote lol
As for the art section I already spent all the budget, personally I would like to commission more art for the endings of the game and make it a complete illustration, like the CG of visual novels, one CG for each ending. So always your support is welcome on kofi or buying my games! thanks!

The Toziuha night prequel, Dracula's Revenge is on sale on Nintendo Switch! I recommend first play this game before Order of the alchemists because some references from this game will appear ;D
In a recently live stream on my YT channel, it has been defined how will be the early access content and its following updates before the launch. This month I will be preparing what's left and in October the early access will be launched with four areas, and a glimpse of three more. You will be able to fight two alchemist bosses and three monster bosses.
The game will be updated with the missing content during the early access updates, while the final part (boss and final area) will be in 1.0.
more information will be revealed at the end of the month. The intention of the early access is to receive as much feedback as possible before the final release. The early access will be only on Steam.

trying a new crt shader, I think this one looks much smoother, I like it. obviously these filters are optional. Although on Android don't work well so directly the filter option will be hidden xD

In ToziuhaNight you will have different elemental whips and different spells, it will be crucial to know how to use the right one as enemies are resistant or weak to certain elements.

In Toziuha Night you will need to do some science to complete it ;)
I'm implementing some puzzles that require several steps before you can solve them, using notions about science. The solution to these puzzles will be different, so one player's solution will not be the same for another player. You will need to get materials, talk to NPC's and process them in a lab.
Someone told me that this could be a problem for speedrun, I have that covered, the game will have a "speedrun" mode where the solution of these puzzles will be the same in every savegame.
It took me all this week to implement a puzzle about "spectrometry" (designing it, programming it, writing the dialogs etc).

At this stage of development I'm dedicating myself to play a game without using developer cheats, this way I'll be able to balance the difficulty better. Hopefully I can reach early access with 70% of the game by the end of the year!

It took me about four full days to revamp the button mapping system! As for the keyboard it hasn't undergone many changes, but this time by default it will have a "WASD" configuration and support for the three main mouse buttons and scroll.
As for the gamepad, this time when starting the game for the 1st time a gamepad calibration will be requested, now it will have full compatibility with any controller, I even tested it with a generic PS3 one. This way even the button icons are updated automatically without the need to set the icons manually. And in options you can change the icon scheme: xbox, playstation, nintendo switch and steam deck.
Automatically and depending on the platform (consoles, steam deck, pc) these configurations are made.
On the other hand the game has already implemented an achievement system (a local one available on any platform and another one that works with the steam api).
The only thing that does not work well are the analog triggers (L2,R2) on android.
The "giant bat" boss has been redesigned for Toziuha Night sequel, this time I drew it :D (the previous one was a rescaled asset)

Continuing with the development. Currently I'm in the phase of replaying again the done areas, but this time playing a game in a "legal" way, in other words each area I must pass it with the least damage possible without using developer tricks. While I do it I check enemy stats, enemy positions and adjust the difficulty.
You can see a compilation of a stream where I was playing. Sometimes I work on the game live on my youtube channel.
While I'm at it, I'm adding events with the different characters, writing dialogues, showing "cinematics" etc.

Finishing with the last boss of the month! Since the beginning of April I've been working on making a new boss from scratch every week, I still have about 5 more alchemist bosses to make, I'll leave those for later.
The rest of the month I'll be working only half a day fixing bugs because I'm very tired xD

Another boss completed. It was hard to do because it's a boss that moves a lot and has several attack animations. But the result has been satisfactory :D (spoilers of the fight in my kofi)

The Adeptis bosses in Toziuha Night OotA will have a desperation move when defeating them
Also each boss will have a different fight song! (there are for now 200MB of music files in the game)
Desperation moves as well as other features that could make the game very difficult can be disabled, although it will prevent you from completing the game 100%.
