Meditation is simpler than a lot of us make it out to be. I describe it as if you're free floating a lazy river or natural spring and tune the world out. Maybe your eyes are closed and you can focus on the sun or wind.. maybe your eyes are open and you can zone out into the blue sky, white clouds, trees overhead. The point is, it's not about "shutting your brain off" but more about allowing the thoughts to flow freely without latching on to any of them. Let them come & go and be at peace with it.

🚿 90 DAY COLD SHOWER CHALLENGE

▶️Cold showers help reduce inflammation (& ramp up the immune system).
▶️They help improve mood by increasing endorphins & acting as a sort of shock to your system to improve alertness, clarity, and energy levels.
▶️ They can also increase metabolism, regulate hormones, and heal the GI system.

All it takes is up to 5 minutes in the cold water so you can start with your regular shower and spend the last 5 minutes with cold water & take it from there.

I know I've been quiet the last couple of months but I'm still here!

I've been taking some much needed time to focus on my own health recently as I struggle to maneuver through/ cope with "long covid." Listening to my body, spending time with family, meeting with different doctors, etc..

That being said, I'm going to continue to take time through the end of the year but I'll be ready to take on new clients beginning in January!

✨Stress Be Gone✨

Okay maybe not gone gone, but here are some tips to help alleviate!

TLDR; Stress releases chemicals that lead to inflammation in the body and inflammation leads to an array of health problems.

Inflammatory markers travel in your blood which, as you know, circulates your entire body. This chronic inflammation is linked to higher risk of heart disease, diabetes, weakened bone density, Alzheimer's, and autoimmune disorders - among others.

Inflammation stems from your immune system, so having your immune system activated constantly also puts you at higher risk for more potential problems from foreign invaders like viruses.

Stress reduction is just as important as getting enough vitamins & nutrients.

Sometimes you need beach pizza and THAT'S OKAY 🌞🍕

Being healthy is more than "diet & exercise."

Being healthy is making choices and changes that ultimately serve your mind, body, and spirit.

Consistency is greater than perfection when it comes to success. I will say it a hundred times.
CONSISTENCY IS GREATER THAN PERFECTION WHEN IT COMES TO SUCCESS.

I haven't been to the gym in a week and a half.
I have been more "snacky" this week than wanting full meals.
I haven't journaled in too long.
I spent all Sunday being lazy and having beach pizza with my husband and best friend instead of preparing for the week ahead.

& Guess what? It felt GREAT and I made it through the week just fine.
I can get "back on track" with my routine whenever my mind and body feel ready.

Yes, I want to help you discover meaningful and attainable goals and the process of getting you there, but I also want to nurture your humanness & teach you about giving yourself grace.
We all deserve grace.

"Health & Wellness" is more than just nutrition, physical activitiy, weight management, etc...

It's a complex, multi-dimensional, holistic integration of ALL aspects of life (internal and external) and how they connect & affect you.

All areas should be given attention, however, the ideal balance of each will vary for everyone as we all have different ways of achieving "personal harmony."

Do your mind and body feel harmonious? Do you have areas that are out of balance? Do you need help taking the necessary action to find your own personal balance?
