On September 20-25, 2022, an International Trampoline Competition (Кубок Петра Великого) will be held in the city of Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The National Junior Trampoline Team of the Republic of Armenia has also received an invitation to the competition.

The RA youth team will perform at the competitions in the following sports disciplines

1, Vanik Vardanyan (Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline)

The strongest jumpers of the Russian Federation, as well as athletes from friendly countries, including the Armenian national team, will participate in the competition.

Competitions will be held in all sports disciplines: individual synchronized jumping.

Applications for participation are accepted from boys and girls in the following age groups: (age groups 11-12, 13-14, 15-16) Competition venue: St. Petersburg Athletics Academy, Winter Stadium.

September 5, 2022 - YEREVAN, ARMENIA - Today, at approximately 10:45am, at the Ministry of Emergency Situations RA, located at Anastas Mikoyan 109/8, Yerevan, Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan was on hand when Armenian strongman, Yuri Sakunts, successfully pulled 54 Tons with a single digit (his pinky finger). By accomplishing this feat, Sakunts set a New World Record by pulling two fire trucks weighing 40 Tons and 1 tourist buses weighing 14 Tons for a linear distance of 10 meters on a flat surface.

Born and raised in Charentsavan City, Kotayk Region, RA, Yuri Sakunts is a native son with deep Armenian heritage. While only a young man, Sakunts began pulling heavy objects as a hobby merely to test his own potential. However, today he continues to do it an ongoing effort to inspire Armenian youth and to demonstrate the psychological power of pursuing one’s potential.

August 20, 2022 - YEREVAN, ARMENIA- On the same sad day that Russian troops began clearing the villages of Aghavno, Berdzor, and Sus of all Armenian children and their respective families, Armenian strongman Yuri Sakunts initiated three young boys in the art of boxing/kickboxing to inspire the nation. HYEDram, the new Armenian stablecoin, sponsored the young kickboxing team in their first public exhibition.

As smoke continued to rise from the burned houses along the abandoned Lahchin corridor, back home in Yerevan, three brave Armenian teenagers Ashot Matevosyan, Hayk Grigoryan and Hrach Grigoryan entered a contest, boxing for the first time. The team placed second overall among the other competitors.

Even on such a sad day as today, this small boxing/kickboxing victory gives us hope that Armenians everywhere are beautiful, independent and strong.

The bravery of these young fighters also serves as a reminder to Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, and to everyone else, that a new generation of young Armenian leaders is quickly coming of age with big hearts and strong hands to defend their beloved homeland.
