5 years ago, my life took an unexpected turn due to a car accident. 🚗💥 It was a moment that altered my path, challenged me in ways I never imagined, and ultimately shaped the person I am today. 🛣️✨
The accident was a profound reminder of the fragility of life and the resilience of the human spirit. It tested my physical and emotional strength, pushing me to my limits. But through the hardships and healing, I found an inner strength I never knew existed. 💪❤️
It was a journey of recovery, both physically and mentally. I faced setbacks, pain, and moments of doubt, but I never gave up (even though I wanted to many times). Countless hours in physical therapy, endless doctor appointments, and the mourning of a life once lived. With the support of my loved ones and my unwavering determination, I am slowly reclaimed my life, piece by piece. 🌟
This experience taught me the value of cherishing each day, finding gratitude in the small moments, and embracing resilience in the face of adversity. It reminded me of the power of community, kindness, and the importance of self-care. 🌈🤝
As I reflect on the past five years, I am grateful for the lessons learned and the growth that came from this challenging chapter. It made me appreciate the precious gift of life and the opportunity to make a positive impact. 🙏✨

I rarely hear anyone talking about this, so let’s discuss it.
Just like the chilly winter months can leave us feeling down, the sweltering heat of summer can have a similar effect. It's all about the change in seasons and how it affects our mood.
To combat the summer blues, try these tips:
1️⃣ Stay hydrated and cool: Drink plenty of water and stay indoors during the hottest parts of the day.

Nutrition is just one component of health. It is easy to get caught up on one or two areas, while neglecting other components. In the health industry, diet and exercise are pushed HARD (and yes, for good reason), but other aspects of health are just as important and we should approach our health holistically. Outside of nutrition, meaningful connections and living a purpose driven life can greatly impact health outcomes. Harboring negative feelings towards your body can hinder the healing process and make it more challenging to take care of yourself.
When you dislike or have a negative relationship with your body, it can lead to detrimental behaviors such as neglecting proper nutrition, avoiding exercise, or engaging in harmful quick fix practices. These actions can further compromise your physical and mental health, making it difficult for your body to heal and recover.

Ten years ago, I discovered my passion for nutrition and the transformative power it holds. I would skillfully prepare meals using the groceries my mom brought home, always seeking to make them as nourishing as possible. Excitedly, I would capture photographs of these meals so I could reference them in the future. Admittedly, I was somewhat clueless back then, but my countless hours of watching the Food Network proved invaluable.
Back in those days (boy I feel old), I had no knowledge of food journaling or its significance as a recommended habit for my nutrition clients. Presently, there are dedicated apps like BiteSnap or Lose It's SnapIt that focus on tracking dietary habits through pictures.
The point of my story is that I embraced a healthy lifestyle without indulging in the elaborate trends associated with the wellness community today. I encourage you to keep it simple and straightforward (KISS) on your own journey, understanding that obstacles will come but should never deter you from trying again and again.
