Live-ly Mental Well-being
Welcome to ‘Live-ly’, a space for all people to learn and be inspired to ‘Live’ with mental wellness.
Happy Sunday! 🫶🌞 Sundays are a good day to reflect on the week and you can do this by asking yourself some questions such as.. What have you done for yourself this week? Did you make time to do something good for yourself, something that brings you joy or fulfils you? Did you do anything for your body, for your health? Did you do anything for your mind? It’s so important to check in with yourself and check where you are mentally, so you know where you may need to pay a little more attention to. This week I’ve been spending more time outside and moving my body, fuelling myself properly and reading. ⭐️ •

Happy Sunday everyone, whilst we are in the slow month of January, it is the perfect time to practise some breathing techniques and find some calm after the chaos of the end of a precious year. The pace of our breathe can impact the pace of our life and vice versa, so it’s important to regulate it and give ourselves some inner calm. 😌 •

As another year comes to an end, it can bring on feelings of anxiety and panic over what you have or haven’t ‘achieved’ this year. Social media can become inundated with posts of what everyone ‘accomplished’ this year, while this can be amazing and inspiring for us, it’s also important to realise that everyone’s ‘achievements’ will look different and what may be normality for some people, may be some people’s biggest achievement and that’s okay. So I want to encourage people to share not only the ‘big’ moments but the smaller ones too, whether that was just pushing yourself out of bed when it was the last thing you wanted to do or whether it was getting outside more. By focusing on the good things we achieved this year, we can have gratitude and attract more good into our lives 🫶 •

Watch my latest podcast episode about Christmas and mental health here -
Christmas and mental health I wanted to do a little chat on the importance of looking after yourself this Christmas and making sure people know they aren’t alone if they aren’t feeling ...
Let’s talk checking in with yourself, now be honest when was the last time you did? When was the last time you asked yourself how you feel? Checking in with ourselves can really help to understand how our feelings and emotions so we can work through them. Try writing down your check in just once a month, then maybe once a week, until you can check in yourself daily 🩵 •

Good evening everyone (or whenever you see this post) 😊 The topic of discussion for this post is ‘self-talk’. Now we’re all guilty of not talking to ourself with much kindness or talking about ourself in a harsh way. Whether that’s simply making a mistake and calling ourself ‘stupid’ or just being unkind about the way we look, it can really have a negative impact on our way of thinking. Yet we all do it… If you do one thing this week or even just today, try be mindful of the way you’re talking to yourself or about yourself, it can go a long way 🩵 •

hi everyone, welcome to Live-ly! This is a space that I am creating to not only share my journey, but to offer tips and advice that I’m learning along the way. I am in no way an expert (yet😉) in the mental health field, but I have learnt a thing or two and if I can share that with even 1 person to help them, it will mean the world to me. I am about to undergo a new journey for myself in the mental health industry, training 👩💻 as a counsellor and doing other courses along the way such as Nutrition and Understanding Domestic Abuse, so that I have as many tools as possible to help others, which is what I feel I am on this planet 🌎 to do. This is a safe space for ALL people. I wanted to call this space ‘Live-ly’, as I felt it was a great representation of what I want for this journey, I want to inspire others to ‘Live’ in their healthiest self, mentally and physically, and explore reasons to be alive. I don’t know where this space will go but I’m excited and glad to have you on this journey with me! Again, welcome to Live-ly 🌱✨
