Thread journaling is the art of using thread to journal, whether it be daily, monthly or whenever!

I’ve got a poorly small today, so were spending our Monday having a snuggly duvet day and I’m spending it catching up on my Thread Journal.

We’re so close to the end of the year and seeing that gap getting smaller and smaller really helps you to appreciate the passing of time.

We’ve got our Manchester resident class tomorrow evening at The Village Hall in the Great Northern.

Check out the link in our bio to join us and receive your free kit and class.

Almost 5 years in and I'm so grateful for this piece of art, this tangible reminder of all that I've been through. And I hope that by sharing it, others can see the value in documenting their own experiences in creative ways.

Life is messy and unpredictable, but it's also beautiful and worth remembering.

Each stitch is a testament to that truth.

Some wonderful feedback from a Play Therapist who is using the Thread Journal Project to help find the good in each and every day.

☺️

Recording memories in a thread journal, particularly in miniature form, allows you to capture important moments in your life in a unique and personal way.

This can be especially helpful for those experiencing depression, anxiety, or other mental health challenges.

I know how much it can help from personal experience and I want to share this with as many people as possible.

🥰

Slowing down and getting creative are important practices in today's fast-paced and technology-driven world. Especially during these cold and dark months.

As our lives become increasingly busy and demanding, it is crucial to take time to slow down and reflect on our experiences.

Doing so can help us gain a fresh perspective, improve our overall well-being, and nurture our creativity.

There are so many positives to Thread Journaling, a key one being how beneficial it is for your mental health.

This is a lovely review from one of my Thread Journal members describing how it has helped them through grief.

It makes me so happy to know that we are helping so many people through this fabulous project.

Timeline photos 17/11/2023

With the fast-paced lives we lead, it's easy to forget the precious memories we create every day. That's why I've been practicing the mindful art of hand embroidery to help me record and cherish those moments.

Each stitch I make is a small reminder of the laughter shared with loved ones, the beauty of nature, and the joys of everyday life. Not only is it a calming and therapeutic activity, but it also creates a beautiful keepsake that you can look back on for years to come.

So why not give it a try and see how it can help you appreciate the little things in life? 🧵✨

With that gap closing in on my 5th year of thread journaling, it still amazes me.

It’s the one project that has kept my interest and I think that’s down to the ever changing nature of it. I’m awful at completing projects usually!

What a joy to be able to sit and reflect on so many memories at a glance 🥰

This job literally makes my heart sing! Thank you so much to the wonderful group of folks who came along to our class last night.

We had our first ever 100% attendance event. As some of you may know, this is somewhat of a miracle baring in mind attendance is usually closer to 50% for free community workshops.

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the lovely participants! It helps so much when reapplying for funding to have a good turnout and means we can reach more people in the short and long term.

On the same note, if you need to rearrange your place for whatever reason, please don’t worry. Life happens and I totally understand! Just make sure you book onto the next one and you’ll be welcomed with open arms, a hot drink and a smile.

The class will be released a little later this week as I’ve had a tough couple of weeks. I’m trying hard to be kind to myself and practice some self care, after all, that’s what this is all about.
