Let's be honest... Even if you live in a 5 bedroom house, In a routine spending quality time together is f**king hard! I know you get what I mean, especially if you have 1,2, and even 3 children. Like us! Before we packed up to travel Australia, we were in such a routine that even when 8pm came around, we would be getting ready to hop into bed and wind down watching a movie once the kids settled half the time one of us would be put like a light within minutes of hitting the pillow and the same routine would begin the following day. Now fast forward living on the road full-time, living in each other's pocket, spending every day with each other we've connected differently. We can spend all day as a family (unless we are stationed working) doing adventurous things as whole, afternoons we spend by the fire the same routine of dinner, showers are as per usual but once the kids are settled James & I usually hang about the fire reminiscing the memories we have made with our children and how dam lucky we are to be able to create this life. Yeah OK let's skip to... There is always someone asking those 2 questions. 1️⃣ What do you do for work. 👩‍⚕️👨‍🏭📲 Answer: We travel to where the work is, We don't stay in one place we chase mining work (Hubby is a Boilermaker) & Nursing ( I have cert IV in nursing, I prefer aging but love anything to do with it)... BUT.... How do you both work... We don't both work at the same time in the traditional 9-5 grind.. If Hubby is working in the mines, I'll stay home and work on our online business. If I'm working, it's vice versa. What's your online business? We work in digital marketing selling digital products globally. 2️⃣ How do you educate your children. 👨‍👩‍👧 Answer: While we are stationed, either parent spends a couple hours with each child doing the required curriculum under the guidance of the SCDE while we are moving, We stop at museums, heritage listed sites, and more to learn about the land we live on. They aren't schooled the traditional way, but they are schooled under the guidelines of the government education. There is such thing as "Bush kid, Isolation programs," which allows them to study in their own space in their own environment. It's taken us a few months to work out our rhythm. While we travel for work, in between stints, we explore each corner of our country together as a family. So often, we get asked, "Don't you miss living in a home? The answer is: Yes, sometimes but building this lifestyle has created us freedom we aren't tied to one area and it let's us explore the true beauty Australia has to offer. Will we settle down?
