We're delighted to see how much was raised at this year's BWCI Open Castle Charity Swim! 😍

IT'S A RECORD BREAKING YEAR 🙌

This year's BWCI Group Open Castle Swim raised a grand total of £7,393.73 that the club has rounded up to £7,500 💚 This means that St Peter Port lifeboat, Channel Islands Air Search & the Guernsey Alzheimer's Association will receive a staggering £2,500 each in support of their valuable work within our community.

The BWCI Open Castle Swim has grown into one of the island's most cherished annual events. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers, and supporters for their contributions to this year's success.

BWCI’s Social Club treated our staff to a Sark Rib Tour on Monday. We explored the caves as well as braved the rocky waves around Sark! Thanks to Island RIB Voyages for accommodating us, we had a great time!

The BWCI Bandits rounded off the 2024 season by winning the Mixed Plate. This involved a knockout competition over 3 rounds, culminating with a 7-4 win to BWCI in the final. In Mixed Division 2, the team finished mid-table and look forward to competing for the top spots next season!

The team has shown great improvement, and everyone has had great fun playing the games each week.

BWCI took part in the Inter-firm relay last Wednesday evening. The team consisted of Becca Toll (6A), Jake Colton (6B), Volga Frunze (6C) and Rachel Dallin (6D) who raced through the centre of St Peter Port. BWCI’s reserve runner, Carly Tucknott, ended up racing for another firm to complete their team. Each member of the four-person team ran just under a one-mile lap of the course which started and finished at the top of Smith Street. Well done all involved!

We're pleased to support the Lions Club of Guernsey Donkey Derby where all proceeds on the day go towards local charities. Keep a lookout for our two sponsored donkeys 'Golden Years' in the 1.20pm race and 'Good Prospects' in the last race of the day at tomorrows Derby!

We're looking forward to joining in with the Tower to Tower Walk & Run, taking place on Sunday morning. It is hosted by, and in support of, the Guernsey Alzheimer's Association, which is one of BWCI's charities of the year.

Many congratulations to the BWCI team who took part in the Open Castle Charity Swim last Sunday. The team of 10 staff members, including their friends and family helped raised funds for three charities; Channel Islands Air Search, the RNLI, and Guernsey Alzheimer's Association, which is one of BWCI’s charities of the year.

This is the 4th year that BWCI have sponsored the Open Castle Charity Swim and we’d like to say a big thank you to the staff who volunteered and helped out on the day. The event was a huge success with over 700 swimmers taking part!

This summer, BWCI entered a team into the Guernsey Volleyball Grass Court Business League. The ‘BWCI Blockers’ had a fun few matches and eventually came 2nd, only losing to an experienced team who played in the league last year as well. Considering the BWCI Blockers had nearly a full team of beginners to the sport, they played extremely well together from the first game and put up a great fight throughout the league!

A huge congratulations to our colleagues in Guernsey who received promotions this July.

A huge well done to Becca as she returned from the Touch Rugby World Cup earlier this week. Team Guernsey improved with every game they played and managed to finish 5th in their group, meaning they played for positions 17th-20th. The team improved and felt more positive with every game they played as they faced teams like South Africa and China. Team Guernsey finished 20th out of 29 teams which is a huge achievement so well done to Becca and the team!

Today is International Chess Day!

Last Friday, BWCI entered a golf team into the Guernsey Alzheimer's Association's Charity Golf Day where they got to meet and have photos with celebrity cricketer, Darren Gough.

The team consisted of Jon Lenfestey, Graham Rabey, 17-year old Jayden Tucknott (who BWCI sponsor - more to come on this!) and Alan Bain from Butterfield Group. Here they are at hole 9 on L'Ancresse Golf Course, which BWCI sponsored for this event.
