The Summer Skate Camp in partnership with Skate It Yourself and The Hut Youth Hub is back down at King George V field, Love Lane, Castleford.
All participants will receive a free limited edition Five Towns Skate x SIY hoody and T-shirt plus lots of other giveaways across the summer.
Our students were busy last week baking cakes and scones, they look delicious!

The final Chance to Shine cricket session for the academic year and the summer cricket banana came bearing lots of giveaways.
Well done to everyone who has taken part this year, worked hard, had fun and encouraged each other.

Subject: Demystifying Apprenticeships Online Event Wednesday 10th July 5.30pm – 7.00pm
Supporting your child to navigate the changing world of career opportunities can be daunting. West Yorkshire Careers Hub have an exciting event that will shed light on apprenticeship training routes, including degree apprenticeships, helping you to support your child to decide if the apprenticeship route is right for them, and through the application process.
This online session will take place on Wednesday 10th July 5.30pm – 7.00pm and will provide an opportunity for you to get the latest information about apprenticeships.
You will hear directly from a panel of leading apprenticeship employers from a range of sectors, including Asda, ITV, Jet 2, and Forvis Mazars and Impellan Group. These leading employers will be available to answer your questions and shed light on the exciting apprenticeship careers they offer.
During this interactive online event, you will gain invaluable knowledge, including:
• An in-depth overview of apprenticeships and local labour market information
• Tips and strategies for finding exceptional apprenticeship opportunities
• A Q&A session with the esteemed panel of employers, where you can have your questions answered directly
This event is hosted by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and is completely free to attend, making it accessible to all parents, guardians, and carers who are dedicated to supporting their children on their career journeys.

Year 8 Geographers - Yorkshire Wildlife Park Monday 8th July
⏰We will meet in the canteen at 8:30am ready for a 9am departure. We are aiming to be back to school around 3pm.
🚶♀️The trip is non-uniform, but make sure you are prepared for all weather possibilities! 🥾Please wear sensible footwear as it is very dusty and rocky in places - no Crocs or sandals please.
🎒Bring a rucksack and something to eat and drink, there are some places to eat but there are limited menus.
💷There will be an opportunity to visit the gift shop if you wish to.
