The tragedy that continues with this weekend’s news about the six hostages who were murdered, is unbearably devastating and heartbreaking.

May the families of Hersh Goldberg, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel G*t, Almog Sarusi, Alex Lobanov, and Ori Danino be comforted among
the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and may their memories forever be a blessing.

People all around the world who believe in peace and our values pray that the remaining hostages will soon be returned home safely.

We must continue to find the strength to spread light among all this darknes

Thank you for being part of our Lower School Birthday Shabbat! It was truly meaningful to pray together for Israel and the safety of the IDF soldiers together. For lower school students in Rabbi Yisroel’s Judaic studies class, the students get the special opportunity to study the words of our heritage’s most sacred prayers through use of their magical meditation siddurs. After they learn the words and the meaning of each prayer they get to use their magical invisible markers to write down their personal meditations and conversations with G-D. Their private prayer conversations are only visible when they shine their flashlights on the page. Shabbat Shalom!

Today, we held our first Brachot - Bee competition for 3rd to 5th graders. The students showcased their knowledge about blessings, and the energy was high throughout! A big thank you to Rabbi Yisrael for organizing this amazing event.

Getting ready to Lag BaOmer! . The students had a blast during recess time with smores, potatoes, music, and ice pop!

Yesterday's Art Walk was an inspiring showcase of our students' creativity and talent! Our school was transformed into an art gallery, where guests were greeted by famous artists, viewed beautiful artwork created from varied media, and even had the opportunity to create a collaborative piece! Yasher koach to all of Meyer Prep's talented artists! Thank you Mrs. Turk, our incredible Art Teaching Artist, and Mrs. Didi Moses, our amazing Director of Performing and Visual Arts, for inspiring and guiding our students!

Meyer Prep's LEGO Robotics Team was honored with the award for Programming in today's competition among 14 Jewish day schools! Our team has worked together all year to design, build and program a Lego robot to complete a series of interactive challenges. Today's competition featured challenges in STEM, programming, derech eretz, mechanical challenges, and an innovation project. Their hard work and dedication was recognized and rewarded when they took home the award for Programming. Yasher koach! We are so proud of them!

Exploring chemical reactions and simulating volcanoes in junior kindergarten science! Students also applied their knowledge of primary and secondary colors in this fun activity.

Just a peak into a typical day - writing letters of gratitude in Hebrew, exploring fractions in math, building electric guitars in design, rehearsing in IB music, and getting cozy in the reading nook in junior kindergarten. Meyer Prep has it all!

Today on Yom HaZikaron, we come together as a community to remember and honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives to defend the State of Israel. Thank you the 6th-grade students for leading us on this meaningful and solemn day. Your maturity, sensitivity, and poise were truly inspiring, and you did an incredible job of helping us all connect with the significance of this day.
