Laura woke me in the middle of the night. ‘It’s happening,’ she said. I filled the birthing pool, Momma got in, River woke up, and what seemed to be in no time, all three of us welcomed baby Sol home at 3:47 am on March 10.

It was beyond special to see River curiously witnessing Momma’s fierce love and the birth of her brother. I’m proud of her sweet bravery and support. Laura never ceases to amaze and inspire me; she’s now gifted me two beautiful children, and as our family grows, our love deepens and feels more complete.

I had told my mother before her passing that the baby would be a boy. I told Laura in Peru that he would arrive on March 10. I don’t know why I said those things, but it made me trust the whole process Laura and I chose, and it made me truly recognize how few perfect moments there are in life. This was one of them.
Welcome earthside, my boy, Sol Vidya Tala Misle.

The first initiation point to living on purpose is the conscious choice to make the unknown known.

Living out the authentic visions you cast for yourself requires a level of honesty and deep acceptance of what it is you truly value and actually care about. This is something I've been on a quest to refine for many years now. The more I align myself to what feels real and honest within myself, the more ease I can feel on my path toward the vision I see for my life.

Our 2023 Vision Quest retreat is all about this — creating the conditions to come into a real and right relationship with yourself.

It’s difficult to put into words what transpires in a place like Peru — so we decided it would be better for us to just go back and show you just how powerful this land truly is, and it's capacity to reveal yourself to yourself.

This 14-day pilgrimage will include an immersion in yoga, culture, and deep spiritual exploration.

This is for those who are truly intrigued by Peru, who are looking to get more than a tour, and who are seeking to have their vision truly meet their purpose.

Early bird ends on May 11th! DM me for more information or tap the link in my bio to register today.

Life with you has been my greatest adventure.

Happy birthday my love

I keep seeking out experiences that inspire objective thinking and personal reflection. Bandwagons on colourful parades have rarely led me to desired destinations.

This past fall .yoga and I hosted a retreat in Radium BC, which turned out to be one of then most amazing retreat experiences I’ve had the pleasure of presenting in Canada.

We had an incredible group, a fantastic chef, and a helpful support team that made the experience awe inspiring and synergistic. Kelly and I capitalized on that vibe and offered an impromptu class collaboration that began with tribal dancing followed by a deep yoga practice. It was fun, it was deep, it was perfect.

And we’ll be recreating that experience this Friday at Bliss Yoga Lounge.

“From Skin To Soul”
at 6:30PM this Friday

I”m excited to connect with old friends and practice with new ones.

( 7:30 tonight at )
In practice, momentum is gained by achieving stillness and maintaining synergy amidst the chaos.   The method I provide is a merging point rooted in the ancient practices of HATHA and RAJA yoga, infused with Tibetan Kriyas that have served me well over the years.

These classes are crafted to appeal to seasoned and new practitioners alike as we explore the essence of momentum through practice,
discussion and hopefully direct experience. This session will carve clear pathways of sensation by attuning to the subtle energies of the body, breath and mind. You can expect a dynamic and invigorating
posture practice to flush, cleanse and heal the body/mind to leave you feeling blissful and grounded.   I hope you can join us in creating a fun and inspiring class at Our Yoga Space

M O M E N T U M ~
Radium Equinox Retreat

Join .yoga , myself and special guests for a 3 night, 4 day ceremonious retreat nestled in the heart of Radium BC.

From September 8th - 11th, just in time for the equinox - we’ll come together to experience a weekend of self-propelled momentum, rest and introspection, all while being held by the grounding force of the mountains.

For many of us, it’s been 2 years of embracing uncertainty and settling into the importance and value of forging our own unique path.

We’ve grieved, unravelled and in that process a kind of momentum loss has been felt. A feeling of “where do I go from here” and a longing to reignite that purpose and intention.

If you relate to this, this weekend will be the perfect container for you to reset and gain momentum towards your visions! The combination of daily practice, sound healing, self reflection and time in nature will provide the perfect conditions to gain clarity and recharge as we transition into a new season with purpose.

I’m beyond thrilled to be a part of what will be a magical weekend. Would love to have you there! Link is live in my bio for all the details and to register.

PS - we are offering $100 off for the first 5 sign ups, DM me to claim your discount!

The past 2 years have brought great change. For some, it’s been a pause. For others, a powerful pivot. For many of us it’s been 2 years of embracing uncertainty and settling into the importance and value of forging our own unique path.

Inside this time of reorganizing, there has been plenty to grieve, lots to unravel and inside that process a certain kind of loss of momentum. A feeling of “where do I go from here” and a longing to reignite that purpose and intentional forward movement.

(This week’s Tuesday series will be held at the FOUNDRY Whyte Avenue Location at 10428 - 82ave . Details and registration in bio linktree)

This week our guest presenter is who will offer a 30-minute workshop called “Stable & Fluid Hips”. Simple and direct techniques to release the hips at any time of the day.

Christina began her practice 14 years ago, and since then, her practice has been the backbone of how she navigates life on and off the mat. She is loving how the practice encourages an inquiry and exploration of the physical body while nurturing and challenging the mind at the same time. Christina accredits the love of her practice and the knowledge shared from teachers that inspired her to take her first 500hr hatha yoga training in 2010. Since then, she has continued to study various styles of yoga and is working towards a 500hr yoga therapeutics certification with Yoga Medicine.

I’ve known Christina for over a decade, we’ve been active participants in the same yoga communities, we’ve practiced together and attended each others’ classes countless times. Christina teaches a strong vinyasa practice with a light-hearted approach to encourage attention to turn inwards, to tune into your own experience, and therefore create a deeper awareness and understanding of self.

I’ve seen both her practice and her teaching evolve over the years and what I love most about what she offers is her creative sequencing that balances a strong dynamic pace with deep therapeutic engaging of the body. She has mastered the ability to present challenging classes that are accessible to all and I look forward to what she has to offer us this Tuesday, March 22nd.

Looking forward to this weekend in Kelowna at

3 opportunities over March 18-20 - Join 1 or all 3. Open to ALL levels of practitioner. Registration closes tomorrow (Thursday) morning so please make sure to book now if you are coming 🙏🏽 link in bio.

More Details:

March 18 6:00-8:00pm
THE GREAT DEVOTEE: HANUMANASANA
(FRONT SPLITS)
Hanumanasana (front splits) symbolizes taking a leap of faith as Hanuman did in service to Lord Rama when he leaped across the ocean to Sri Lanka as told in the ancient text of the Ramayana. When performing this asana, one should meditate on overcoming hurdles by inwardly focusing on the breath, opening the gateway to balance, peace of mind, and a deeper connection to Self.

This workshop will systematically open your hip flexors while creating stability in your hips and pelvis to access increased flexibility and range of motion. Variations for every body will be explored to assist in developing more depth and ease to this advanced asana.

March 19 2:00-4:00pm
MY DIVINE SPINE:
(BACKBENDS)
Yogananda Parhmahansa quoted “God is in the Spine”. It is through the spine that we have direct access to the intelligence of the universe. It is the balancing of energies in your spine and the openness of the heart center that can determine the outcome of your spiritual progress.

This workshop is designed to help gain clarity as you learn to support the extension of the spine and develop a radiant presence in the heart. We will use the body as a tool to delve deeper and feel more connected to your spiritual practice.

March 20 2:00-4:00pm
ARCHITECTURE OF A HEADSTAND
“Inversions can be some of the most intimidating yet beneficial of all the asanas. The intention of practicing these postures so consistently is because of their ability to directly tone, strengthen and energize all the systems of the body, inducing vitality and balance. This workshop is for the practitioners beginning their journey with headstand as we will explore the preparatory postures to develop strength and confidence while working into the full expression with ease and trust.

When the Jasper East Cabins commissioned me to create a brand video that represents the feeling you have when you stay at their cabins, I was excited for the opportunity to spend a week in the mountain filming in nature with friends and family.

I’ve had the opportunity to stay at many times over the past few years I’ve developed a relationship with the land stewarded by JEC. For this video, Clint’s request was that it convey the vastness of space and nature.

Nature is the main character of this piece, its grandeur, and vastness. There is a relaxation one experiences by the grounding forces of the surrounding mountains that embed this little sanctuary. I always feel an opening when I go there, a connection to ancient roots within myself, my body relaxes, and it steadies my mind.

The music has a happy melancholy feel to it, the kind that provides an opportunity to connect and self-reflect. Time spent self-reflecting in nature is exhilarating, transformative, and uplifting. I’ve gathered beautiful memories from those kinds of moments, and I’ve spent years trying to inspire others to do the same. Medicine for the times.

Big thanks to and for taking the time to help me with this video. From helping set up lights to hiking up a mountain for some epic shots, you two put so much heart into it and I had a blast with you. Thank you, , , , and River, for making the drive up to be in this video, it was such a nice time to connect and laugh hard. And of course, thank you and for asking me to do this project, to be part of what your family is creating is inspiring.

I feel blessed when I can spend my time doing what I love with the people I love.

EMERGENCE
Sunday, January 9, 2022
6:00 PM-8:00 PM
Kelowna, BC at

Kevin Gaudet & I have collaborated to create an offering aimed at evolving our personal aptitude as practitioners and our collective strength as community members. Emergence is born of a recognition of the outer and inner upheaval recent months may have created. Rather than attempt to categorize these upheavals as positive/negative or right/wrong, the ceremony will center around our prerogative and responsibility to adapt, grow and ultimately emerge as stronger, wiser, and stronger yoga practitioners and citizens.

In this practice, you can expect a balance of fiery and uplifting, cooling and grounding, communal and individual. This will be accomplished through an artful selection and sequencing of postures, kriya, and breathing techniques that Andrew is well known for. The meaningful connection will be fostered through discussion and intelligently directed lines of verbal inquiry, all in the service of sowing seeds of shared purpose and intention, a lynchpin of the ceremony. Additionally, this psychological, energetic, and ceremonial space will be carved out, enlivened, and maintained by Kevin Gaudet and his assortment of gongs, drums, and primal vocalizations. Further grounding, rest, and integration will be gained by sound bath, guided relaxation, and meditative reflection.

This is a practice designed for experienced practitioners but is open to any experience level willing to show up with the dedication to see a ceremony through, knowing that the success of a ceremony hinges on the true investment of all participants.

Space is limited to 19 people so if you're interested in joining, make sure you hop on and reserve your spot!

This Sunday, December 19th at 6:00 PM is the 10th annual Power Of Love. This event holds a decade of beautiful moments. It’s brought us together in easy times and challenging times, and every time we’ve uplifted each other, we’ve felt held and at peace, even if for just a moment. Moments like these can be profound, for me personally they’ve fortified purpose in my life and the desire to contribute. I’ve always loved bringing the community together and very early on I found it to be a healing component of my practice.

I can look back at the person I was when I began this work and see so much that has come and gone. I see my evolution as a person and practitioner. The first year we offered Power of Love was inspired by my brother who had fallen deep into drug abuse and began healing while living at Hope Mission. He found solace in serving there and being in the community. I spoke to a dear friend, Teresa Byer, and she encouraged the idea do a fundraiser to buy meals for the homeless at Hope Mission with that year’s event. We agreed to offer several classes all over Edmonton, at lululemon, Noorish, Moksha, and SATTVA. We donated just over 1500 meals and that experience broadened my personal practice, and it was the initiation of many transformative gatherings coming together in community.

So much has happened in 10 years. I’ve become a husband and a father, I’ve experienced much of our world and its cultures, been deeply devoted to yogic practices, and shared the teachings. I’ve experienced loss, births, triumph, and defeat. We’ve all been to depths and highs settling into who we are and what we must share.

Power of Love is one of my favorite nights of the year and this year’s iteration and contributors are incredible. I feel blessed to host this gathering alongside some of the most inspiring people in my life, masterful in what they share. Last year we came together virtually, this year in person at The Creative Hive.

Love is a unifying force experienced within, yet powerfully felt in purposeful gatherings. Join us for Power Of Love Sunday, December 19th at 6 PM.

Registration in my bio’s linktree.

(SUNDAY, December 19)
What a journey the last two years have been. With in-person events often out of the question, offerings like Power of Love became but one of the endless numbers of experiences that brought resiliency and creativity to the forefront. Last year, we wove a hybrid, digital offering of both live and pre-recorded Yoga facilitation, music, and poetry, all on short notice as we met the unpredictability of the pandemic restrictions. With that departure from our original vision, we are now ecstatic at the possibility of offering the event as envisioned for last year: Live and in-person.

In 2012 Andrew committed to this yearly gathering and now a decade later, there is a dedicated team of diverse facilitators gathering under a full moon bringing focus to our inner guidance. With deep, loving gratitude for the foundational lessons and relationships that make up our evolving presence, we will celebrate in-person.

On December 19th, from 6 to 8:30 pm, please join Andrew Misle, Geha Gontier, Kevin Gaudet, Angela McFaul, Duan Friesen, and Sebastien Bolessa for this celebration of POL’s 10th anniversary. Enjoy a dynamic practice inspired by music and interwoven with ecstatic poetry. The practice will conclude with a transcendental sound bath and Yoga Nidra. Pure magic.

(Part 3 of 3)

Growing up in Chile our household was complicated, my dad was always on tour, and my mother and he stopped getting along. Going out in public was always a spectacle with people walking up to meet him, it was exciting at times and uncomfortable at others, eventually it led to a separation. In truth, as an orphan himself, my dad never really had the mentorship or tools on how to be a husband or a father, by no means an excuse, but as I have stepped into both these roles myself, I can now see him for who he was. In the years when we didn’t speak, I never doubted his love, I knew his own struggles were part of a heartbreak he eventually learned to heal.

Over years we reconciled and built a relationship on friendship. He’d often apologize for not being a “normal” father growing up. I reminded him that I’d let go of wanting a normal father years ago and that I had admiration for him. It was always clear to me that his life never lent for normalcy. I became proud of the man he was, what he overcame, and the lessons he learned. He was passionate about life and a true believer in dreams. He always encouraged my artistic pursuits and when I visited Chile to spend time with him and when we had the opportunity to chat, I was able to really contemplate who he was; I found a charitable man that gave himself fully to what he loved most, performing.

In the last few years of his life he’d stopped apologizing, he became genuine, and I truly felt a deep sense of peace in his heart. I feel blessed to have known him and that I was able to say goodbye. I was watching an interview he gave a few years ago, when the interviewer asked him what he’d want to be remembered for, my father responded that on his epitaph he would like inscribed, “Here lays an artist”.

(Part 2 of 3) His name was Luis Misle Troncozo, Luis Dimas was his stage name for the past 60 years, he’d been an entertainer in the public eye in Chile since his early teens, gaining fame by initiating a new wave of music in the ’60s that awoke new popularity and national pride for Chilean singers & musicians. He brought Rock’n’roll & Twist to Chile and South America, he was deeply influenced by Elvis, The Beatles, Chubby Checker, Tom Jones, Sammy Davis Jr, and many more. He was a short man with a giant voice that could fill arenas, known for holding audiences partying for hours at a time. As a young boy, I was a huge fan of his shows, life with my dad was always exciting and chaotic.

My father was raised by the stage and his adoring fans, entertaining and receiving applause is how he first felt loved. My grandfather died when dad was very young, and his mother took his twin sister to America leaving him to fend for himself as a young boy. I’m yet to fully understand how, but he began performing and singing on the streets and in brothels, making his way to the biggest stages in South America and breaking all kinds of records in album sales at the time, one of Chile’s most-awarded artists. They always referred to him as “El Rey”, the King. Years later my family would move to North America for several years and my dad would experience moderate success in Western Canada, but not quite like he had experienced in his home country. A few years after I was born, we moved back to Chile. Truly though, I believe he was plagued by the fear of abandonment for most of his life, he chased that love from the stage until the very end, it’s how he was best able to feel at home. My cousin Enzo & and his wife Lorena took care of him for the last 3 years and would send me videos of him performing at the old-age home where he lived in his final year. Even as his health and memory were deteriorating, he still brought his infectious energy and love for performing to whoever would listen.
