The women faced their first set of teams this past weekend 🔥🔥 First up was a 7-0 loss against the Whitby Rush. After having to rebuild in the off season, there was a lot of game play adjustments done with the returning veterans, and for the group of rookies to find their footing on the floor After a little breather and a quick offence run through between games, next up was the Hamilton Lady Bengals With much improved communication, they were able to capture an 8-4 victory, with 2 rookies getting their names on the scoreboard with a goal each! Our next league day is June 24, 2023 @ Iroquois Park in Whitby. The team will be facing off against: Mimico @ 12:15pm Mississauga @ 4:45pm Hope to see some faces out in Whitby 🥍🩷🖤

Yesterday our team was awarded the OWBLL Becky Smith Memorial Cup for being League Champions - number one in your hearts and number one in league standings leading up to these Provincial games! Collectively, this symbolizes our perseverance, grit and unity beyond our everlasting love and memory for #66 "Beckerz" Smith. A special shout out goes to our defensive captain and strong team leader, #16 Alisha Smith, for her stellar leadership, commitment and dedication throughout the season! Alisha was recognized as our league MVP for the Grand River Attack yesterday. You make us very proud!! Also, not to forget the 5 Game MVP titles awarded so far in our quest for gold: #6 Linz Smith (games 1 & 2), #31 Chelsea Doolittle (game 3) and #10 Mekwan Tulpin (games 4 & 5). WISH US 'BEST OF HARD WORK' AS WE ENTER THE GOLD MEDAL GAME AT 2PM TODAY!!
