Scroll Saw Challenge 2023! Here is my contest entry! #SSC23Final The Rainbow Bridge In the middle of this contest my world was flipped upside down. My Marley crossed the rainbow bridge. Working on this allowed me to grieve in a way I didn’t know I needed. I created a magical beautiful place for his last adventure. The moon is shining and my sweet boy is asleep awaiting a day filled with treats, sunshine and cuddles. This piece is made entirely by hand, first drawn out then cut with a scroll saw, sanded with a rotary, and hand painted. I keep seeing the words “I can’t imagine” and yet that’s all I did last night. Not just those robbed of their lives yesterday but every child, every HUMAN LIFE we have sacrificed for selfish reasons. This isn’t the first time we have watched families be ripped apart but when will it be the last? We failed those children yesterday. The teachers. And someone many might not agree with, the gunman. Mental health and gun control can’t be ignored anymore! We need to talk about it. We need to fix it.
