From ours to yours, happy holidays. I’m so grateful. ❤️
2020 brought many obstacles, but it will never be the “worst”. Need a piece of joy from the past year? Just take a look at these tiny humans that we welcomed into the world! We are so glad that amidst the chaos you decided to join us. 🥰
Weekends never end with my favorites + one. One of my best friend gets into town tonight to visit for the very first time and I CANNOT WAIT 🎉💕. Harvey and Eva might be a little excited as well. Guess you CAN spring break as an adult. Ours will just be filled with walks, coffee and yoga pants instead of dancing, booze and mini skirts 😉. Wouldn’t prefer it any other way! See you soon .

Yet another love letter to my community,
Yesterday I was struggling. I’ve been working on wrapping my head around being almost one month away from maternity leave. My work pipeline has begun slowing down as I gear up and I’ve been facing many mixed emotions on this transition. In the past month I moved my office back home and have been attempting to get back into the grove of life when WFH. Add in the firey heat wave San Francisco experienced the last few days and this gal here was spent! Our monthly Tuesday’s Together meet up rolled up on me before I could even blink this month. To be honest, after battling the heat all day yesterday, I was lacking the motivation for our meet up but feeling the pressure as the community leader to push through.
I began messaging friends in my community and received nothing but outpouring support. With some encouragement I decided to move our meet up to the beach where we could catch a breeze and take some fun pictures instead of meeting at our usual place that’s sans AC (like all of SF). I was nervous and reluctant and apologetic for the last minute change, but as always my community showed up with outpouring love. We lined up for a group photo at the end of the evening and I overheard someone say, “This was so great! I needed this tonight!”. Ah yes! That right there, that is why I do this! .
Sometimes “networking” and community can feel like going to the gym. You drag your feet a little to get into the door, wonder who will be there, feel pressure to be “more” then you already are, and you see the potential effort you’re going to need to bring to the table to accomplish this. BUT just like going to that work out class, by the end you find that you were enough as you are all along, showing up was your effort AND accomplishment, and that others were just as reluctant as you. And just like that gym class you leave feeling so refreshed and with your brim filled back up.
That’s what this community was for me last night. Thank you for showing up and beating the heat at the beach! Thank you for bringing this rockstar dress that you so sweetly explained fit my vibrant personality. We made waves! 🌊 @ Crissy Field Beach
I’ve got the best birthday present there ever was! Cheers to 3️⃣0️⃣🎊
FINALLY introducing Charlie Elle Bishop
Born Wednesday, September 4, 2019
At 3:04pm weighing in at 7lb 11oz
We are beyond in love (and exhausted) 😘
We welcomed our sweet little gal into the world nearly two weeks past her due date (lol to that one time we told everyone we were having a baby in August). Her birth was nothing like I imagined it, and at the same time it was the most loving and supported experience of my life. I’m learning my body is so much stronger than I ever could have known. I’m also learning a whole new perspective for my clients and what those first few days postpartum look like. Y’all are some TROOPERS for allowing me into your homes those first days to help you celebrate these intimate memories! We’ve been spending the past few days soaking it all in and adjusting to our lives as parents. We can’t wait to share more about her first few days with all of you soon ❤️. Welcome to the Bishop clan little Charlie girl!
After an early morning flight I’m back home! Enjoyed my weekend in LA eating all the things, rockin’ by baby bump in a swimmy, exploring the town and spending quality time with my husband, my brother & his partner. Now time to jump back into the Monday jam 👏🛬🌁

Hanging out down in LA for the weekend! This past Christmas my brother and I decided to skip on gifts and instead plan a weekend get away together. Both of us and our SOs are enjoying some sunshine this weekend on our little get away! 🤗

What’s your favorite thing to do in LA area?! We’re pretty much planning on eating all the thingsssss!!

Okay sooo question: how did your pets (aka the OG babies) react when you came home with a new tiny human? Did you take any special steps to prepare your pets for the arrival of your newborn? I feel like our doggo Mr. Harvey will actually acclimate quite well. He lovesss kids and was around when I nannied often. I anticipate some jealousy but he will likely adjust. But then there’s the cat.... ole Miss Eva Marie... she’s a whole other story. I have a slight (rational) fear she will just sit on the baby’s face and suffocate her in her sleep (and probably on purpose). No really, that’s where my pregnancy brain is at currently. 😳🤭 HELP! Is my cat going to freakkk out?! Can you even prepare a cat for a baby? How did yours react?!

Monday has me movin movin with a full day of retouching. Y’all often hear me talk about how I get to snuggle babies for a living, but I have a little secret for you. As fun as cuddling babes is, my favorite part of my job actually happens from behind a computer monitor. It typically takes me about three weeks to turn over a final gallery to my clients because I put so much work into each and every image I deliver. I remember learning Photoshop for the first time in my High School AP art class (*cough*cough* the only Advance Placement class I ever took). I would sit for hours meddling with layers, filters, and colors just to watch images completely transform. I was amazed by the magic that could happen from behind a computer screen and found some strange therapeutic aspect in the time I spent meddling with pictures. Now a over a decade later (OMG, I feel old), I’m still that same nerdy art student who loves meddling behind a computer screen, now just to bring other people joy! SWIPE LEFT to uncover the magic of what retouching can do!

❄️⛄️ TAHOE ⛄️❄️ our snowy weekend has come to an end! Baby bump is growing in strong and she’s started to kick up a storm. And after a rough beginning, I’m FINALLY starting to feel a bit better and get some relief from morning sickness. Grateful for this season in our lives 🙌

Another insanely beautiful day in the city, so beautiful my poor pale skin already is sunburned from walking around yesterday 🤭. In true Spring Break fashion, I slathered on the sunscreen and geared up for another day of fun. Today we are hitting some farmers market action, browsing around the Mission, soaking up some sunshine in a park and maybe topping it off with some ice cream and cheese burgers! DAY TWO, DO ALL THE THINGS!

We choose to show up every month not just because we want to learn, but because we wanted something more. We want to learn TOGETHER. We show up month after month and sit down with a room full of what could be seen as our competition but instead we choose to make them our community. I’m forever grateful for this growing community of creatives in San Francisco. You guys empower me every single month! I may be two years deep with this crew, but it feels like a breath of fresh air every single meeting.
Join us next month at or your local The Rising Tide Society TT chapter.

CURRENT CRAVINGS: Positive vibes and sunshine ☀️ ✌️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Taking a moment to be very real here: It’s hard to be patient with my body right now. During our pregnancy group Tuesday a gal mentioned, “I don’t feel any different, I keep forgetting I’m pregnant!”. To be honest, I’m not sure if I wanted to bust out in tears or pass a few *choice* words 🤭. My doctor had mentioned I should be feeling much better by 16 weeks. I’ve been clinging to that light shining at 16 weeks for awhile. Well, 16 weeks gifted me with a day full of vomiting. Don’t be mistaken, I’m SOO so effing grateful for this little bean in my belly. I know in the end it will be well worth every day spent hugging a toilet, but ohh my patience had been tested. Patience, patience, patience. This definitely isn’t the first test, and it surely won’t be the last. Calling for positive vibes, cute gummy smiles and some sunshine!

WHAT DID THE FOX SAY?! 🦊
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He said this little one is featured up on the LBP blog today! Of course 😋. And y’all, if you think this is cute WAIT till you see the pictures of him and his puppy named Pudge. Pudge is legitimately the size of that stuffed animal, and looks pretty close to being a stuffed animal too 😂🐶. He totally tried to steel the show, and if you know me you know that is okay by me! I give an A++ to all my clients with babies & doggos together in 2018.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am finally kicking my butt in gear and catching up on some blogging for my website. I can’t wait to feature all the sweet families I photographed over the past year. If you where an LBP client from 2018 expect a feature soon 💕💻.

Today was the first day of our pregnancy centering group. We opted for a unique kind of prenatal care received in a group setting vs independently. If you’re saying wait whatttt “group care”! No solo doctors appointments! Why would you choose that over one-on-one care?! Well, here is why it felt right for us:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For starters, it’s nooo secret that I value community 🙋♀️🙋♂️! Centering provides us with a group of women and their partners to meet with monthly that have a due date close to ours.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because we are eager to learn more about our pregnancy and about birth. I may be a bit of a baby whisper, but pregnancy (as I have quickly learned) comes with a lot of newness for both Eric and myself. We have A LOT of questions, and google isn’t our friend ☝️. Centering gives us 2 hours of time every meeting. It starts with 10mins of individual check-ins and followed by activities, knowledge, learning and Q/A!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because I want a specific connected experience with my pregnancy and birth. Pregnancy may already be extremely challenging for me, but my endurance and patience has already giving me a since of strength and empowerment. Centering is noted to, “support self-care, better birth outcomes, higher breastfeeding rates, decreased risk of premature birth, and higher prenatal care satisfaction”. Pregnancy comes with a lot unpredictability, but this was something that we felt gave us an extra boost of confidence through that unpredictability.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did you love your prenatal care? Anyone whose heard of or did a centered pregnancy group? I would love to hear about your experience!

W**D, FLOWER, TREE... WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS DO YOU WANT TO BE? Thoughts by
Just again, a bit louder for the people in the back!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"
W**D🌱 Weeds are very successful at first glance. They seem to pop up out of nowhere overnight & to be growing faster than everyone around them. [...] They have spent all of their energy on how big & impressive they are on the surface, that they never got around to making sure they also had roots. [...] Who among us has not pulled a five-foot w**d out with the slightest pull only to discover only a couple of inches of roots? They stood for nothing. They took instead of giving. They grew only for themselves.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
FLOWER🌷 [...] There are flowers who are annual. These are the kinds of businesses who create something really pretty, beautiful even, and it flourishes for a season and then it’s gone. Then there are the businesses who are perennials. They know the kind of beauty that they were born to create, they own it, and they are able to deliver on that year after year. [...] But for all of us, I want something more.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
TREE🌳 And then you have those businesses that go beyond just growing for themselves, that go beyond just making something pretty. [...] See a tree can grow up and up, as high as you can imagine with its arms stretched out wide. But here’s the interesting thing about a tree that you might not know: for however high & wide a tree stretches its reach with its branches…its roots always stretch wider. [...] It is not tossed by every storm that comes. It knows what it stands for, it holds fast to what it’s anchored to. And in the same way, while a tree may indeed be a thing of incredible beauty in and of itself, it is never satisfied with merely that. Instead, it chooses to also bear fruit. To create something to be shared and given away.

Oh heyyyy baby mammas! I’m Lindsay 💕 your fav San Francisco baby snuggler (and photographer 😉). Here for a little because it’s been a minute. Here are a few things about me:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣📸 I’m a newborn and family photographer based out of the Marina in San Francisco. I travel to clients homes to photograph one of the most magical milestones in life. Oh baby!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣👰🤱 I wasn’t always a bebe photog! When I started my business over five years ago I began as a wedding photographer and worked as a nanny on the side. TBH weddings weren’t my jam, and I didn’t want to stop helping families! After 10 years of being a nanny and 2 years as a photographer it dawned- it was time for my two worlds to collide! I stopped looking at “how to make it big” and started looking at how to fulfill my passions. I haven’t looked back since!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣ 🤰👪I’m not a parent... yettttt... technically... am I? Haha My hubby and I are expecting our first little addition this August!! Pregnancy has been HARD- but after years of watching everyone else families grow I’m so thrilled for our own little fam to be growing!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4️⃣🎉🌊 When I’m not juggling babies and cameras I’m supporting other creatives chase their dreams! I’m the proud leader of our local chapter of Rising Tide Society with over a thousand creative entrepreneurs. We meet once a month to learn, cheer each-other on and to make real world connections.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Okie, I think that’s enough LB facts for you today! I’d love for you to tell me something about yourself. If we haven’t met, drop me a hello and introduction below! 👇👋 Don’t be shy!

Delivered a little preview for this sweet girl today! How adorable is she 🥰💕

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After photographing THREE families this past week I’m spending Monday like thisssss.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Many of you know I only take a limited number of newborn sessions every month (currently I’m booking spring and early summer!). I do this to ensure that I’m not photographing back to back and allow plenty of time for the backend and all that goes into these jam packed sessions. BUT babes arrive early, late, and sometimes even on time (aka on their own time!). That’s exactly what happened this past week. Babies with due dates spread out through the month ended up all arriving in the same one week. Guess everyone was just anxious to enter the world together 🤗.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Soooo I may have barfed in the entry way of our apartment this morning, but it’s the weekend 🤦♀️🤷♀️. I don’t think anything could have prepared me for how difficult growing one of ^^^ would be. Doing my best to not let feeling sick keep me from enjoying this time before baby arrives. Thanks for everyone who’s has checked in and sent positive vibes :). We’re feeling all those good vibes and if there’s one thing we’ve learned through this journey so far it’s patience. We are chugging right along and more grateful then ever. 💕

No case of the Mondays here!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because today is 📸 PICTURE DAY 📸 for sweet baby River. While some people dread walking into work on Monday mornings, I’ll be smiling ear to ear. Life is so fulfilling when you love what you do every day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our photoshoot was originally scheduled for Friday morning, but when River woke up with an irritated eye a few concerns grew. Although we were hopeful it was something minor (and I am pretty confident in my photoshop skills) we made the though call to postpone the session. Why? Because safety is always #1 with newborn sessions. I’ve learned if there’s a question or doubt then you should ALWAYS error on the side of caution. Baby’s health and safety during our session is always the top priority. On top of that, I want everyone going into my photoshoots to feel confident and relaxed. With River under the weather mom and dad likely would have trouble relaxing, and we could potentially be exposing myself (and my other tiny clients) to unnecessary germs. Luckily- River was cleared from her doctor Friday evening with just a blocked tear-duct and we where on for a reschedule ASAP. I’m thankful for clients who are patient and understanding that safety are #1! I can’t wait to meet you and your family today!

We where supposed to be snow bunnies today 🐰 ❄️, but due to the insane amount of snow Tahoe received we ended up saying in the city this weekend. We love that California always has an adventure in store for us. So instead of snow we hit the dance floor last night! Eric, myself and our little baby in my belly danced the night away with some friends 💃🕺💕. Thankful that I’m finally getting some energy here and there so that we can celebrate and enjoy this time before bebe arrives. Thanks to my friends and boo for bringing so much laughter this weekend!!

Learning to be F L E X I B L E when things don’t go according to plans.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. This extreme morning sickness has caught me quite by surprise. I had a few friends tell me they didn’t feel great during their first trimester, but nothing prepared me for feeling quite this sick. I’ve been learning to adjust my expectations and cut myself a little slack when needed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Today was photoshoot day for a sweet family in the city. Unfortunately bebe girl woke up this morning a tad under the weather. Although both me and the family had already prepped and prepared for today we both had to be a little flexible and remember that we’re always on baby’s schedule. To caution on the side of safety we decided it was best to reschedule for another day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. THREE DAY WEEKEND plans where to head out of SF and drive over to Tahoe for some snow packed adventures. Unfortunately, the snow came in partying a bit too hard for us closing off the interstates and making the drive near impossible. As a group we’re having to be flexible and readjust our weekend plans.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sickness, timing, weather... all things that we cannot have control over. It may not be fun but sometimes we have to pause, reassess and remember to be flexible. 💕
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Oh little bebe you’re the best valentine I could ask for! My heart (and belly) are full of love today.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Obligatory brag on my valentine ahead:
After spending the past month and a half face down into a trashcan (thank you morning sickness), I was treated to a day of much needed relaxation. Maybe it’s the hormones or maybe it’s the morning sickness but lately I’ve felt a tad extra clingy/ needed, and Eric has been insanely patient and caring. I was bummed to learn he would be traveling during v-day, but he made sure I felt oh so loved. I received an email late Tuesday night saying with the subject line “hey my baby mamma” 😂 and details enclosed for a day at the spa. Thankful for the little break in my week for some desperately needed self care. Thank you EB! 💕
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Spending this morning fending off another case of yuckies and sickness, but so thankful to spend Valentine’s Day with this sweet little bouncing bean in my belly.
