The Martina dress in a plum gingham check cotton 💜

Just cutting some of these out today to take to my dressmaker 🪡 Hopefully will be ready soon.

Still looking for new premises. I didn’t get the one I spoke about in my last post, but I made an offer on another one today. Fingers crossed 🤞

Finally I have my first sample of the Molly wrap dress.

I've been tweaking her for about two months now, changing the shape of the sleeve, the length of the bodice, and the amount of gathering in the skirt. I wanted her to be perfect. Flattering, comfortable and chic. 🖤

Made from a soft cotton dobby fabric which is light and floaty Molly's ideal for the warmer months. However, unfortunately, due to my faffing around, she won't be ready for another few weeks. I have to make lots of her now! 😄

New for summer! My popular Chelsea dress will be available soon in a new colour - Jade Green! And in a wider range of sizes S/M, M/L and L/XL.

The stunning Chelsea dress features gorgeous layers, a light and airy design, and unbeatable comfort for the summer season.

I love the richness of the gold ironwork with the gold of the kimono, and the highlights in the model’s hair are reflected beautifully in the highly polished parts of the gilt. A truly stunning photo! Thank you Mark!

The sun is shining, at the moment anyway, so I’m feeling optimistic for the day ahead.

Perhaps a nice walk and a spot of lunch. Or get my washing done and do some gardening 😆🌸🪴

My go to weekend kimono is Mya. Crafted from a beautiful rayon with a pink floral print 🌸

I love the gingham fabrics that are about at the moment. They’ve been growing momentum over the past few years and this year they are everywhere.

However, instead of the strong bold colours of previous years, this year we have lots of gorgeous pastels. So many it’s hard to choose.

This gingham is a 17mm yarn dyed cotton in duck egg blue and I’ve used it to make my new Martina dress 🩵

I’ve been making the Chelsea dress for over three years now and it’s still a favourite amongst customers 💕

It’s also available in black and white 🖤🤍

The only thing is that I’ve only ever made it in one size (to fit size 8-12) and there’s always many customers who miss out. So I’m thinking about making it again but in larger sizes this time. And I’ve a really nice blue fabric which I think you’d like 💙

Our new Rosie dress (version 2) is now in production. By that I mean we’ve made 6! 😆

It’s the same relaxed style as the first version Rosie but has elasticated sleeve cuffs instead of the flute sleeves 🖤

Made from a cotton linen blend, it’s a bit softer than linen and hardly creases 😄

I will be adding it to the website this week.
