I value this reminder to honor the ways I am human, when my inner critic would have me feel otherwise. I post these because I hope it helps you too🤎
Learning to reject and let go of societal beauty standards is a continual work in progress, and it's freeing.
I feel most beautiful when I'm being myself and it has little to do with how I look. That has been the gift of self-acceptance.
When I learned to do this for myself, it changed everything;
the way I talked to myself, the way I learned to embrace showing up as I was in any given moment, the contentment that grew from this level of acceptance.
I am okay.
It's okay to not be okay and all the in between.

Just a few reminders
From me to you 😘
Slowing down was something I was constantly in need of before retirement, and for a while afterwards. It was a vicious cycle of burnout, finding ways to slow down for a short time, before my life and it's activities & responsibilities ramped up again.
Back then my kickass therapist used to talk about how insanely busy I was, but I always denied it by minimizing what I did--insisting it wasn't a lot. But it always was and it burnout was never far behind.
I shudder to think what my life would be, what I would be if I hadn't decided to build a life where I didn't burnout from overdoing and actually had time and space to be.
If you need to slow down, I hope these suggestions help. They're good ones and they work.
Nature is indeed
magic & medicine!
So are the sober
support meetings
I facilitate. As is
time with my family
and with my friends.
Baking and reading.
Hiking and yoga.
Writing and laughing
and crying.
What are your magics & medicines?

I love it when reminders are grounded in anti-establishment principles!
I truly wish these for you if you're not already doing them for yourself🙏🏾
I've received 700 reactions to my posts in the past 30 days. Deep appreciation for all of your support. 🙏🤗🎉
This is 100% my experience!
Full Moon tonight and the next two nights! Here's a message from her below😘
A Monday Wish for You
If you're one of the ones out there feeling down and tired, I hope that grace is just around the next corner. If you're lost, I hope you find a map. If you're sad, I hope you find gentleness. If you're calm, if you're joyful, if you're content, that is truly wonderful. I hope you spread it around wherever you go.

We are all artists 🎨
Our life, how we live and move through it, is our canvas.
The reminder here is that we can choose. Especially at times like this, where so many outside forces are sources of stress and anxiety.
This can help tremendously.
And I would offer stillness if you're not sure about either one.
Damn, this is awesome!
"To Be" list vs. to-do list ❤️
I think Saturday is a perfect day for one. What's on your To Be list?
Find ways to replace your critical voice with a loving one.
I know from experience this is easier said than done, but it's worth the work and effort.
Start with learning to be kind and compassionate with yourself, even to your critical voice.
Evolutions are fueled by love.
I will always remind you to create time to breathe and just be.
Remember we are human BEings, not human DOings!
This is something I remind myself of often, because I tend to discount or forget about the tremendous amount of growth I've made in the past decade.
Seriously, my life--especially my interior life, is almost unrecognizable.
And that deserves to be acknowledged. I hope you feel the same about your growth.

Happy Friday Luvs🌻
Today is unexpectedly sunflower themed💛🌻🧡
I hope you believe this
because I believe it about
you...
You're you and that's always enough for it to be a good day [plus, you know... it's Friday]😄
Damn, I feel this.
Sign me up!
I love Thursday mornings. I get to wake up, have tea and a light snack before I hit the mat for my favorite yoga class!
To be honest, I'd take healed over happy any day.
Keep going!
🧡 It's getting stronger and stronger!
I get doubts that I'm even planting anything, but I know that I am and I trust them even when I'm not certain what they are. I am content to keep showing up, remaining heartcentered and being present.
I let the growth and blooming take care of itself🌱🌺
Fortunately I put considerable time and effort moving my life in this direction. In fact, the heartcentered work I do prioritizes presence over productivity.
It's a blessing to be present for myself in my personal life and for others in my professional one.

In a writing group yesterday we were given a prompt based on Marianne Williamson's ' Our Deepest Fear' quote. We wrote about how do we shine our own light and what we are most proud of about ourselves.
Not an easy prompt, but an excellent one nonetheless! It was an opportunity to touch on what is meaningful, what is of value, and how most aspects of my life today are a means of self-care.
