Rest in Peace to Zeb
We are heartbroken to let you know that Zeb has passed away. His heart has given all it could 💔 he is now with his mama Debbie and we know they are going to be so happy to be reunited. This video of the two of them was so special and showed their sweet bond. Zeb had a beautiful last few weeks. He got to go to school, enjoyed long walks by a lake in a stroller, received so much love and pets and kisses and praise. We think he was sticking around until Debbie had passed. To make sure he was there for her as she was there for him in his time of need.
We are all still raw from losing Debbie, so this feels extra hard right now. Please send good thoughts to all of the caretakers and people that loved this guy so much- and to his roommate Isabelle the hen that will feel his absence the most 💔

She was a force and she brought so much love to the world around her, especially on the sanctuary. The world will be a little more empty without her, but we know her love and spirit will be with us. We are SO grateful that for Patrick, today is a good day. He gave everyone a huge scare this week and we thought we were going to have to say a very sudden goodbye. Because these pigs are genetically modified to get very large, very fast, and killed very young- they can have all types of health issues even if they get the best of care. Our guess right now is that Patrick is starting to struggle with heart issues. We will be continuing to take the best care of him with the most love, until he lets us know his beautiful life with us has come to a close.
