I hope everyone enjoyed their Indigenous Day and celebrated it with friends and family. In Hay River, the celebration took place at the Aurora Ford Arena. Lots of great activities, the talented put on a great show of singing, dancing and even calling moose. Unfortunately no moose showed up, but quite a few people did and it was a great way to celebrate the Indigenous people. I was asked to do both a photobooth and take some photos of everything else in between. I really enjoyed the celebration that was put on for National Indigenous Peoples day, a huge shoutout to all those involved with organizing this awesome event.

Had a bit of time to do a post of the photobooth photos from the Indigenous Peoples Day celebration at the Aurora Ford Arena on Nationitonal Indigenous Peoples Day. Part of my job was to do the booth that was decked out by the Soaring Eagle Friendship Centre, they did a great job with decorating it. Thank you to all that stopped by to have your photos taken.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I sure did, got to spend time with family. We went to check out the public beach and walked around out there until the sunset. I didn't bring my canon with me, but did capture some nice photos using my cellphone. The clouds looked really neat, some of the clouds looked so flat underneath. It was fun exploring around all the new beach area.

Had a nice photo session with Stephanie and her sons. We shot this under the bridge, the bit of graffiti made a neat background. I really liked Cameron's vest that he made, looked pretty awesome.

Decided to do something a Lil different today and walk the Rotary Nature Trail taking photos with my cellphone only. The weather was beautiful with a nice breeze and the sun shining as we walked from DJ to the ice crossing and back. The Rotary Nature Trail is such a nice trail to walk. If you're visiting Hay River this summer, I recommend you take a stroll and enjoy the views.

Here is the 2nd part to Paisley’s photoshoot. She was so prepared to do this photoshoot, she had a 2nd outfit ready to use, and both outfits she chose to use had many great photos. So I decided to break the photoshoot into two parts. She was quite comfortable with posing she even had a few poses of her own in mind she wanted to try out. Paisley, you are a natural and you did a fantastic job.

Photoshoot with Paisley
This was intended to be done with a sunset, but it ended up being overcast that evening and I think it made it just as good if not maybe better. The balanced lighting on her was so good, the location is becoming one of my favs around Hay. Paisley sure did a wonderful job modeling and seems to really enjoy it. I’ve known her mom Elizabeth for years and it was just like chatting with her as we did the photos lol. Mabel got in for a quick photo op too haha.

This session with Elei turned out pretty great. This was the first time that I worked with Elei on a photoshoot and she did an amazing job modeling. Her makeup artist did a fantastic job too. All around just a great session.

Flying around the public beach this evening

I'm working on adding panoramic images to my website as clients have been asking for those types of prints. While going through my images I came across this image that was meant to be loaded to Facebook as a 360 interactive image, but it also looks pretty neat as a regular image as well. What do you think?
