December 14, 2023 12:30am - 1:30am Location: Hay River Northwest Territories Canada. Last night it was pretty amazing to see the northern lights and the meteor shower. I went out just after midnight and stayed out for just over an hour doing this time-lapse. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to share.

As most of you are aware, the Katlodeeche First Nation had a forest fire over a month ago. Many homes and buildings were lost in the fire that forced not only KFN, but the entire town of Hay River to evacuate. Fire crews worked hard fighting the fire and after nearly two weeks, residents were allowed to return back to Hay River. The Katlodeeche First Nation residents waited about 3 weeks until the reserve was open again. I shot this video today using a drone to show how much of the area was burned, although I don't think this shows all of the burned areas, but it gives you an idea of how bad it was.
While photographing the northern lights st the falls, I set up another camera to do a timelapse. This is what I captured. Taken April 23, 2023 at the Alexandra Falls.
