Fiesta del Sol 2024!!!

Bringing so many long-time aspects of my life together at one community event is so special! I cherish this FDS show with Atomic Groove more & more with each passing year. My love of singing and performing, combined with my deep roots with teaching fitness, gets such a great opportunity to intertwine. Thanks to all of you that I have had the pleasure and honor of touching your life through my music life and/or through my fitness career. ALL OF YOU, past and present. It's so profound to have such strong community connections for so long. I am blessed.

My studentz from the AG Fly Girlz dance class continue to inspire me... watching their dance performance skills develop, their confidence grow and their friendships blossoms between them is beyond rewarding. It's genuinely profound for me. I give alot, yes, but what I receive is inexplicable... as wordy as I am, I can't really put it into words! This quote comes close, tho:

"The meaning of life is to find your gift... the purpose is to give it away."

With that being said, please come to an AG Fly Girlz dance class soon. All levels! For only the price of the class I can share my knowledge and experience with you... and you could even possibly get on the AG stage with me! Please note: any and all of my fitness classes are directly translatable to your dancing, and vice versa... it's all about understanding Self! Whether you want to learn to dance, or want to be in better shape, get our of pain, enhance your cognitive awareness... I cover ALL of these aspects in ANY of my classes, regardless of the "format". Pictured here with me are some of the awesome studentz from the class who learn a dance (or two or three!) well enough to get up on stage and perform with Atomic Groove at an AG Happy Hour at Belly Up (this pic from May 3rd). All these lovely souls have varying degrees of dance/performance experience. Most of them have very little or even none! With some consistency, grit and dedication, these (and many others) have had the ongoing opportunity to learn and grow as performing dancers with a unique opportunity of dance to perform, found no where else.
This is NOT just another dance class! I absolutely LOVE teaching this class!

Come for one class, just to have fun.... or commit to the experience and have the possibility of getting on stage! All for just the price of the dance class. The class is taught at a level that can accommodate almost levels of dancers/movers, novice to pros, in an educational, supportive, non-competitive, relaxed environment of learning.... gain more knowledge about music, movement, how to navigate within a group....and, ultimately, The Self.

Enjoy my AG Fly Girl choreography that is playful, athletic, classy, confident, user-friendly, expressive and meant to empower the soul for all ages and levels... no rolling around on the floor, high kicks, overt gyrations and the like....the vibe of an AG Fly Girl in the Atomic Groove band is to exchange joy with the audience and include them in on the light-hearted magic of Atomic Groove... to be a part of something bigger than the self. Simple movement, profound connection...communication thru the joy of (live) music and movement- together!

The return of the AG Fly Girlz Saturday Sessions starts this Saturday, April 27th. Three Saturdays 1230p only: April 27th, May 4th and May 11th. At MB Fit Studio in Solana Beach.

No matter your dancing level- learn! I love teaching this workshop-styled class where we go a bit deeper into a section of the current dance being taught with more technique, awareness, performance, musicality, et al to bring out the inner AG Fly Girl in you... and end class with going over the whole current routine, too.

These are some of my studentz from the Atomic Groove Fly Girlz Dance Class performing with me last Friday at the Atomic Groove "Shamrock Bash" Happy Hour at the Belly Up! Some of the them have learned several songs and keep really evolving as dancers/movers/performers- SO awesome!

We've been rolling out the song from series #7 "Ladies Night", and they've been having ALOT of fun with it.... both with the class experience and those who are performing it on stage. Our last night of going thru this song is tomorrow... if you're fast learner you will like the pace of this class. If you prefer a slower learning curve, join in on Series #8, especially at the beginning.

The debut of Series #8 is with a special Saturday AG Fly Girlz class this Saturday, March 23rd at 1230p. And then continues on Tuesdays starting March 26th, 630p. I'll teach this brand new routine progressively over the next few weeks.

Bringing together my fitness family and music family at my Atomic Groove "We Are Family" Dance Party Happy Hour at Belly Up this past Friday was soooooo special. I am surrounded by such good vibez these days, more than ever, from all directions.
I am so blessed.

I never had children but I sure feel like a mom, or at least a head of the family, in so many ways.... to my fitness folks, my band, my audience. This theme resonated on many levels!

My fitness sister Mary Lou Schell came (back) into my life two years ago and graciously invited me into HER family at MB Fit Studio where I've continued to teach fitness classes and hold my weekly AG Fly Girlz Dance Class. Such a beautiful community has developed. Grateful!

In all my years of teaching fitness this has developed into one of my most favorite classes to teach and one of my most favorite tools to use. "Strength & Stretch" is every Tuesday 530p and Saturdays 1130a, where we use The Stick the whole time. But I even use The Stick in some of my other classes, too, like "Fit" and "Strong" and even my postural alignment class "ReWork". Have seen very impressive improvement of people's overall body mechanics and have even had reports of reduced pain in shoulders/knees/backs. Working on grip strength and getting "hang time" is SO great for everyone, no matter the fitness level. Please join me!

"Super Friday" Happy Hour
Friday Feb. 9, 2024

I continue teaching the dance from this Series ( #7), going deeper into the dance but still teaching it very fundamentally. So even first-timers can keep up and feel successful! And those who have been attending get to learn more nuances. This Series #7 will continue for a few more weeks.

I am especially excited about the "Training Workshop Sessions" on Saturdays at 1230p (Feb. 10th, 17th & 24th). Have gotten SUCH great feedback from folks who are super enthusiastic about understanding their personal movement/body/ rhythm education/overall fitness capacity/performance tips... no matter the level of mover.
