This year I learned a lot about toxic behavior. I welcomed it in my home, I participated in silent treatments and I felt the raft of silent treatments. __ Most are unaware of what toxic behavior looks like & this particular style of #TheSilentTreatment #silenttreatment is super common. __ But what does it make you feel like? 🤐😲😳😯😮😧😞😓😵😩😥☹️😔😒🧐😩😞😤😠😡🤬😈👿🙉💩😴😾 ___ _Participating Parties_ 👥Friends do this to friends. 💏Lovers to this to each other. 👭👫Siblings give each other this #treament 👩👦👦👨👦Parents (myself included) do this to their children.) 👩❤️👩Spouse to spouse act in this manner. ___ We tend to 🅰️ try & break through the silence with over talking, people pleasing, begging for attention, overcompensating, & bending to the other person's will just so they can speak to us again. ☣️[[Toxic]]☣️ for both parties involved! _ -🔛 the flip side, we tend to 🅱️ ignore the other person right back, disassociate with the energy the other is posing and do our own thing. We then wait for the other person to open the lines of communication back up. _ Next time you find yourself in this situation. Recognize it as ☣️ [[Toxic]] & instead of participating in your own game of toxicity. Open up the lines of communication instantly by way of vulnerability and say what you must. _ Ok! I need 1 hour to think and return to love again. I'm upset because of XYZ. I don't know how I feel, let me go center myself, relax & chill. I love you & We should probably just take a break from each other right now to think about what's happening for us right now. All of this silence is voluntary & if the other person is kind, loving, & supportive they will allow you to have space. If there ego is not running the show, they will hold space for you. There is real life balance in communicating let's ⏸️ pause.! I need time & space babe! _ #selfheal
We all have triggers, Shadows, Blocks, & Self limiting beliefs that cause us to 🛑 S T O P! _ Don't you listen to ALL the stories your mind conjures up! That's the Challenge we are faced with daily. #redirect your thoughts and give yourself compassion for all the things you THINK are not completely true, are not completely honest, are not completely loving, are not completely logical, are not completely positive. _ Be honest to the idea you aren't perfect. Recognize your own issues!! Deconstruct them and build a new habits to replace the hang up. _ You don't have to stay the same for years on end. _ This is an invitation to change your ways! _ #untothewhirlwind
