Making a lantern for replacement. It happens, but not often when a ceramic piece is damaged during shipping. According to statistics it is about 1 or 2 parcels out of 100. What do we do in this case?
The first option: we will fully refund you the cost of the order, including shipping price and all extra taxes you paid.
Or the second way: we will be happy to make a new artifact for you and send it at our expense. Almost all of our lanterns are available only in one piece at once, so creating of the replacement from scratch will take some time. Everyone who choose this way later wrote to us that the wait was absolutely worth it, so many thanks for your patience and understanding folks. In the video the process of creating a new glaze lantern with Mjolnir and Elder Futhark alphabet. In the first time its hat cracked a little so I make a new one, and it should turn out even better than the previous one!

Today worked on the custom lantern using casting technology. This is when liquid clay is poured into a special split gypsum mold. See the seams in the clay? These are the places where adjoins the different parts of the mold. With this technology small air bubbles remain in the clay sometimes. I carefully check the piece, find bubbles and remove it to keep the ceramic lamp strong. So if everything is done correctly, ceramics will not be as fragile as it seems 🙌🏻 Julleuchter.Etsy.com Custom orders are possible and welcome

Thor’s Hammer Mjöllnir is one of the most historically important symbols in Norse mythology, and is probably the best known today. This lantern is for altars and rituals dedicated to the mighty God Thor. Traditionally, the hammer is considered the most formidable weapon that has never let down its owner, always hitting the target and returning to the owner's hands. However, this is not only a symbol of invincible strength. It is believed that Mjöllnir was also used to bless people, objects, or space. It occupied a central role in rituals of consecration and hallowing, such as the ceremonies of blessing marriages or births. The hammer bestows protection, wards off evil, and maintains sacred traditions. Julleuchter.Etsy.com
The ritual candles are almost finished! Forgive us for being a little behind the deadlines, we are trying to do our best. All the fragrances have already been poured into jars, the runic labels with the names of the Gods have been printed, and we just need to do a little magic on the packaging. We designed the names of the Gods using the Elder Futhark runes, but maybe they look a little different than you are used to see. Today, many of those who use runes write words by correlating each runic sign with a letter of the alphabet. But we choose the other way: we asked @hwitaz.hrabnaz for help, he has been studying runic writing and the Proto-Germanic language for many years. For our project, he reconstructed the names of the Gods as they would sound in the Elder Futhark in ancient times. For convenience, we also have added names in the ancient Scandinavian language to the label.
Make special wooden boxes for shipping lanterns. Each ceramic pieces are carefully packaged in its own box and wrapped in a soft bubble wrap, so your order will arrive safe and beautiful, just as you hoped. I try to make the shipping boxes aesthetically pleasing, decorate them with hand-printed ornaments so that later you can use them as you like and not just throw them away. Also, the package is easy to open and you don't need screwdrivers or other tools to open it. Many thanks to all of you who, in addition to the lamps, in reviews praise the boxes too, I really appreciate it!
The work process on a new series of primal lanterns. At the end you can see how the finished glazed lamp looks like. And as I promised a little about the reasons for the creation and the meaning of cave painting. Due to the antiquity of the cave paintings, we have no reliable evidence of the reasons for the creation of cave painting. But modern researchers have a few hypotheses about this: 🙌🏻 There is an opinion that rock paintings served as part of the rituals of hunting magic and, according to the ideas of primitive people, should have brought good luck in hunting. 🙌🏻 Also, relying on the examples of tribes that still live by hunting and gathering, some believe that cave painting is part of shamanistic beliefs and that the drawings were created by shamans of the tribes who entered in trance and captured their visions. 🙌🏻 There is also a hypothesis that the patterns in the caves were elements of a communication system, which was used to store and transmit information: as primitive maps or as reminders for important myths or rituals. 🙌🏻 And British scientists believe that the images, which are usually considered hunting scenes, are actually diagrams of the arrangement of constellations during important events. For example, images from the Lascaux cave reflect the fact that a large meteorite fell to the Earth about 17 thousand years ago. Once I read somewhere a phrase that with the appearance of the first cave paintings, ancient people learned to manage time in some way and it is true. More photos of finished lanterns I will post tomorrow, thanks for your attention!
