Iโve been consistent in the gym 5 days per week for the past 2 years and itโs paying off! โ My goal used to be: burn as many calories as possible plus eat as little calories as possible โโโ That was the wrong way to do it. I was left feeling exhausted with no energy and did not see results. ๐ When I started focusing on following a GOOD program consistently, and focussing on eating as much good nutritious foods as possible within my energy requirements PLUS focussing on PROTEIN I started seeing results. โNothing tastes as good as skinny feelsโ. LIKE WHYYYYY ๐ Why were there ever dumb and toxic sayings going around like this. Iโm sorry to whoever I harmed back in the day ๐จ What other sayings can you remember being thrown around 12 years ago??!! Another one I remember was โyour sweat is just your fat crying.โ WHYYYY. So glad the health and fitness world has gotten better now and is not so harmful. But then again; maybe itโs because Iโm now more picky with who I follow. If people are making you feel crap, Iโd unfollow them as simple as that โ๏ธ But in all honesty, please tell me some of the harmful crap you used to read/hear/say back in the day โฌ๏ธโฌ๏ธโฌ๏ธ

My top tip to get a six pack fastโฆ Jokes ๐ Let me ask you a question: why do you want a 6 pack?? ๐ค ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ Do you realize the sacrifices youโd probably have to make to achieve this? Eg low mood, low energy, low libido, messed up hormones, being hangry, being moody (and in turn probably ruining relationships). โ I get it, some people have REALLY good generics and can achieve a 6 pack easily without needing to sacrifice but for most of us it will require a heap of sacrifice. โ And donโt get me started on the trainers/fitness influences who constantly post photos with their abs super defined, pretending they look like this all year round. They most likely donโt ๐ because for most of us itโs not maintainable all year round. They get VERY good at posing, at utilizing lighting to make them appear more lean and they usually get in shape for a photoshoot, take photos in 10 different outfits and then continually post these photos. If you see them in real life all year round they probably wonโt look like that. Why? Because they live a real life and probably canโt maintain that low of a calorie intake all year round. So if most fitness professionals canโt look like that 99% of the time; why do we aspire to look like it? ๐ค๐ค I personally value HEALTH and EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING over aesthetics. Does this mean I donโt care at all about aesthetics? YES of course I do. I LOVE the look of a strong and toned body. But I VALUE my energy levels more, I value my RELATIONSHIPS more, I value MEMORIES more and I value my overall HOLISTIC HEALTH more than the aesthetics. ๐๐๐ What are your thoughts on this? โฌ๏ธโฌ๏ธ If you are wanting to start valuing your health, and set some healthy maintainable goals and create a lifestyle in which you are THRIVING I have a few ideas for you; 1) go onto my website and check out all the super helpful ebooks I have created for you (link in bio) 2) go onto my YouTube and utilize all of the fre
So many things could be impacting the health of your hormones and my BIGGEST piece of advice is to reduce your overall stress levels. This could be through improving quality of sleep with a night time routine etc, it could be reducing workload, it could be restoring some relationships that are causing stress, it could be setting boundaries, it could be improving your nutrition, it could be changing up your exercise routine. ONE THING I WISHED PEOPLE WOULD STOP DOING IN THE HEALTH & FITNESS INDUSTRY. ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ I wish theyโd stop being proud โknow-it-allโsโ. And what I mean is this: ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ Stop thinking your way is the ONLY way that is right. That your way will work for EVERYONE else too. Stop claiming your crappy nutrition advice and your false exercise advice to be true and stop overcomplicating the health industry. My advice: find what works for YOU. Move in a way that celebrates your body and that you actually ENJOY. Eat foods that make you THRIVE physically, mentally and emotionally. And encourage others to do whatever it takes to develop a healthy routine in a way that compliments their lifestyle and brings optimum health (even if it looks different to the way you do it). โ โ โ These days I am loving weight training (4 sessions per week) but I also love adding a cardio/core session in once per week and Iโve been LOVING changing my routine from week to week to match my female cycle and itโs been life changing. I used to be a cardio bunny and would KILL myself in the gym every day. If this is you- and your makes you thrive GO FOR IT. It stopped being effective and sustainable for me in my current season so I changed things up a bit but I do LOVE my one cardio session per week. ๐ฅฐ๐ซถ๐ผ Try this quick 10 minute cardio/core burner: 30 seconds work, 15 seconds rest. Super setting a cardio exercise and core exercise at once. 1.a) Jumping Jacks (can step it out if preferred). 1.b) Scissor Kicks. x 4 rounds. 2.a) Jump Rope (can do the movement without a rope also). 2.b) Russian Twists. x 4 rounds. THE EASIEST WAY CRACK AN EGG ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ Okay so Iโve been on the BIGGEST hunt to find the best way to crack an egg haha I have been watching so many YouTube videos and trialed them all but theyโre always a massive fail haha I even tried to blow it out after cracking a hole and it worked once but never worked again haha but now I have worked out the best way to do it! (It was by accident haha). I have cracked 36 eggs in 2 days in a few different batches and every single one has worked perfectly! ๐ฅ If you put them in the freezer as soon as theyโre boiled for 3 hours, and then let them defrost for an hour theyโre SO EASY to peel. I am Vego but I weirdly love making yummy food for my husband and these are one of his favs! Iโm not a fan of the processed chicken tenders you can from the supermarket so I always make my own. That way I can control what I put in them and also make them heaps healthier and also better for his waistline ๐ I marinate the chicken with high protein greek style yoghurt, siracha, garlic and Celtic sea salt ๐ง Then I crush up cornflakes and add the following: Onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, Celtic sea salt, + cayenne pepper ๐ถ๏ธ Then I air fry them with a light spray of olive oil ๐ Way better than KFC haha โ I make them in bulk and freeze them to add into wraps, or to have with rice + salad for lunches or even just as a side with dinner ๐ฝ๏ธ Save this for inspo xx ๐ซถ๐ผ
What goes through your head while youโre doing a set at the gym? For me; my brain always does calculations of how far Iโm through it or how much Iโve got to go haha and I also always think of how good of a feeling itโll be to finish the set ๐ I LOVE the feeling of pushing myself at the gym but Iโm loving it even more now that I only progressively overload for 2 weeks every cycle. It makes my workouts so much more achievable throughout each month, it keeps my motivation high and it also helps my symptoms to reduce the week before/the week of my period.
