IDAHOBIT what does it mean?
International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia Inter-phobia and Transphobia.

While we have come so far in the fight for safe q***r spaces, platforms to freely talk about our experiences and the ability to express and celebrate our authentic selves, the fight is still real and we still have so far to go.
If the current campaign to make drag and being trans illegal in states across America isn’t enough evidence that days like today are important, then I don’t know what is.
And don’t be mistaken, we are facing threats and realities like this on our shores too.

You may not understand what gender dysphoria feels like but trust that Trans, Non Binary and Gender Fluid people do. Listen to them when they tell you how you can help make space for them and show them they are seen and loved.

You might not understand what it’s like to be attracted to more than one gender but Bi+ people do, so don’t dismiss us as a “transition phase between gay and straight”.

You may have never experienced the fear of showing affection to your same s*x partner in public, or the discomfort of knowing people around you are staring. But this is something that almost every gay and le***an person experiences at some point in their life.

These are short examples and obviously all of these communities experiences are so much more complex but these are small insights.

“Ah! He, she, whatever you are today, I can’t keep up with this pronoun stuff”

“Oh they are dating a guy now? So they’re straight again?”

“Ew! can you keep your gay-ness out of our faces”

If you are someone who says or thinks these things or you laugh with others when they say this… Please challenge yourself with some empathy and education. Don’t disrespect what you don’t understand, that is willing and enabling ignorance and this world deserves better! We deserve better!

I’ve never been to Europe and I’m doing it solo, probably the way it was always meant to happen, now I think about it lol

This trip is business and pleasure (or really it’s all pleasure cos my business brings me pleasure haha)
I’m excited to get over there and take it all in, dance my A$$ off in clubs and gay bars, meet new people, go to museums, have amazing writing sessions and obviously sing my juicy butt off!

So to all my friends residing in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Dublin and Edinburgh - If want to show me around town/have a drink or go dancing, hit me up! I’ll be there from July 10th til August 19th 🥰

I’m incredibly grateful for all of the amazing things that have come my way so far this year and for all the wonderful people I’ve worked with who continue to inspire me 🫶

This year has been teaching me about making peace with the doors that close because they are making space for the doors that need to open.
A big door closed in my life at the start of this year which was painful and heart breaking but since then so many doors have kept opening and it’s been showing me I am where I’m meant to be and doing what I’m mean to be doing 🥰

So here’s to 2023 delivering the goods and making peace and happiness the #1 priority in life!!!

We are going back to Oxford Street on Feb 25th for the parade and it is going to be epic!

This year the floats were only able to have a maximum of 40 people marching.
Next year we are able to have 80 people on our float!!
