We are excited to welcome new assistant softball coach, Kloey Wheeler!!
Kloey is from Farmington, IL. Wheeler played softball for 18 years. During those years she played 8 years of travel softball. In her 14u season she was selected and competed at the All American games in Florida. At 15 and 16 years old was invited to play for Junior Team USA. During her 18U travel season she and her team won the USSSA A National Championship at the Peoria Sluggers Complex. During high school she played for Farmington Central High school as a pitcher, outfielder, and first baseman. While there, she started for Varsity Freshman-Junior year. During her sophomore season she won all conference. Her junior year she won the Farmer Award. Sadly, her senior year was lost due to Covid. She began her collegiate career at Heartland Community College. She played there for 2 years as an outfielder and was a catcher her sophomore year. In 2022 she won the GRIT Award. After her 2 years she transferred to Eureka College. During her time at Eureka she was an outfielder and pitcher. She was selected as team captain both years. In 2023 she won the 1-2 award and the all conference sportsmanship award. In 2024 she wrapped up her playing career and ended the season winning the Teammate of the year award. Outside of her playing career she also has been coaching travel softball for 6 years. She is currently the Head Coach of 16u Ox Wood. She also has been giving softball hitting, pitching, and fielding lessons for the last 8 years in Pekin at Fletcher’s Hitting Center and the Pippin dome. She also gives lessons in Trivoli at Comebacker Academy. Kloey is very passionate about the game of softball. The life skills it teaches you and the family that you make along the way are some of the best parts of the game.
