I don’t think I have ever been so unprepared for a shop restock😅. But I’m just gonna keep plugging away over here photographing things and I’ll post what I get to, Sunday 5pm EST. Anything that doesn’t get listed in time will be added next week. You will definitely see these tiny owls on Sunday.

I have far fewer tree luminaries this year than in the past, but the ones I have are so special❤️I’ll be putting these in my online shop this Sunday at 5pm Eastern. Previews of what will be in the update will be posted all week. I’m not doing any events this year, but if you are local and want to arrange for local pickup send me a message. This includes Atlanta, I’ll be down in the city 12/9 and you can pick up from me then.

Giving this mug away today, or maybe another one???✨Unfortunately the algorithm has not been on my side this week and the fundraiser for hasn’t gotten much attention. I have decided to sweeten the pot by letting the winner pick ANY OF THE MUGS available in my online shop when the giveaway ends!!!! If you cannot donate, you can still help IMMENSELY by sharing this post in your stories. $5 is all it takes, but if you donate $10 I’ll give you three entries.🎟️🎟️🎟️ link to donate: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/ctfdiy2023/account/1639255/

(Link to the shop is in my profile, and remember that is you use my direct link I pay less in fees)

New workshop alert! My holiday workshops are always very popular, the only thing is that we have to start them so early to get everything fired in time for people to get their work back for the Christmas season and I hate rushing past Halloween! So this year I was working on project examples for a new holiday workshop, making Christmas village house luminaries, and I had a brainstorm. I was planning on this workshop being the weekend before Halloween, so why not give people the option of making a Christmas house, a haunted house or… BOTH, a mashup ala Nightmare Before Christmas 👻🎅🏼. I always love seeing how people make projects their own, and I think this one is going to be particularly interesting. When I shared it in my stories someone had the great idea to make one side Christmas and one side Halloween. The possibilities are endless! Class will be October 29 from 2-4 at , tickets are available now at the link in my profile.

Announcing TWO fun filled holiday workshops! October 29 join me to make a house luminary. You can make a haunted house, a Christmas cottage, or a wonderful Nightmare Before Christmas mashup of them both! It’s going to be a great time. November 12, come to my very popular Christmas Tree Luminary class. Links to both workshops are the comments. Brought to you with the help of my friends at and

There are thousands of ferns on the land around my studio, and as they start to die back for winter I’m using them to make trays. They are a bit time consuming to cut out but I love capturing each unique frond.

I’ll be down in Atlanta this weekend for the Art Auction. Who else is going to be there?!? I went last year and it’s a lot of fun, and tickets are still available, link is on the Hambidge page. That’s my Raku bottle on top, and the other pots are by Rose Barron, Jane Erwin, and Kate Rusek.

I know lots of people have been waiting for these mugs and I finally put them in my shop! Happy to say most of them sold locally in my small rural southern town, but I saved a few so don’t delay if you want one of these.
PS anyone who thinks they are going to come to my page and be a jerk to my LGBTQ friends and family is mistaken, you will be blocked. And the answer is no, I won’t make you one that says Straight Straight Straight

I don’t remember if I have posted pictures of the snake ring vases I made, but this morning when I opened the big barn door on the front of my studio (I’m in the woods) a little black rat snake fell off the top of the door. It fell off the same door last week, brushing my hand as it went past and I yelled out in surprise. I grew up with my dad showing us snakes he found and teaching us not to be afraid, and I’m very fond of them, so I scooped this one up and got pictures of it with my vase. There is another one of these snake rings that I put mother of pearl luster on, I was actually opening up that door to load a little luster firing. So hopefully the snake sticks around eating mice for me and I get to take a picture of it with the other vase when it comes out of the kiln tomorrow.

This combo🤩 Reminds me of fireflies at the beginning of summer, a night sky dark enough to see the Milky Way, and phosphorescent algae, which I have never seen in person but will some day.

10/09/2023

Ahh cozy season, my favorite time of the year! Come make a sweater mug with me and get yourself in a sweater state of mind. Workshop will be 9/24, this time I’m handling tickets through , you can find the link in my bio. As always huge thanks to my hosts and

Anyone is welcome to hide (and find) pumpkin themed art as a part of it, and I made a Facebook event for artists to get information and share clues (link https://facebook.com/events/s/pumpkin-hunt-2023/636947371836340/). Hope you can join us, and if not-host your own!

Raku was my first love in pottery, it was the day we did a Raku firing in my first pottery class that everything clicked for me and I wanted to be a potter. After a few year hiatus I’m about to start showing these pieces again.

Pleased to introduce Chia Kitty and Chia Dragon! These were painted with underglaze right after the kids made them and then bisque fired so they are still porous. If you made a Chia Pet with me this summer at or they will be available soon, I’m just giving the growing process a try so I can help everyone use theirs successfully!🌿

I’m working on tiny pumpkins for a scavenger hunt in October! If you are in the area (Rabun County GA🌲) and you want to join me in hiding pumpkin/Halloween themed art October 28 leave me a comment and I’ll send you the details!

It took me a long time to come to terms with how different my work flow had to be after I had kids. This summer I finally feel like I just about got it right. I’ll be back in the studio after school starts next week❤️

B**b Cup Workshop tickets are here! Just two weeks until the Women’s Folk Fair at my favorite music venue . I made an online ticket through a platform called . It’s my first time making a ticket for this event but I want to provide the option of different clays for the b**b cups “skin” tone, so I need to be able to prep ahead of time. Extra bonus, Ticket Tailor is a certified B-corp that donates to an assortment of environmental charities, so that’s cool! https://tr.ee/cPPSleDj31

I love making pinch pots, I feel instantly connected to and inspired by the clay. Pick up a piece of clay and it’s pretty much instinctual to start squeezing and pinching it into a shape. It’s such a fun, joyful way to slow down and connect with your creative spirit.
Hope you can join me for class is this Sunday June 4 from 2-4 at . Get there early and enjoy a nice lunch and a drink on the lawn!
Tickets through , link is in my bio.
