Traveling this fall? Protect yourself and others by getting your annual flu vaccine!

My family and I have taken the precautions to keep ourselves and others healthy this year. One of those included getting our flu vaccine. There’s a lot of misinformation about the flu, so let me clear a few things up!

1. The flu shot does NOT have a live virus in it, so you can’t get the flu from the flu shot.

2. The flu shot takes two weeks to develop immunity.

3. You can still get the flu after getting the flu vaccine HOWEVER the side effects are less severe and last a shorter time.
Stay safe out there and consider getting your annual flu vaccine!
