2D Hydraulic Model of the Green River and Killdeer Wetland Complex

WWC collected high-quality drone LiDAR and survey data of the Green River for a project with the City of Green River. WWC used these data to develop a 2D hydraulic model of the Green River and Killdeer Wetland Complex in CivilGEO GeoHECRAS. This modeling has provided insights into the complex hydraulics of the Green River and the wetland operations.

Did you know WWC Engineering now offers drone-based LIDAR services? Drone-based LIDAR is used to help project managers accurately capture high-quality existing ground data, even in vegetated areas, allowing for the most precise measurements. LIDAR technology, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, uses sensors that emit laser beams that shoot down to the ground and bounce back. The distance of the laser and back to the sensor is then measured and recorded. Contact WWC Engineering today to utilize this new technology. https://wwcengineering.com/contact/

WWC Engineering was contracted by Headwaters RC&D and the City of Dillon, Montana to survey and design improvements to Montana Street. The downtown street beautification project will include intersection improvements within the downtown commercial corridor to protect pedestrian safety and enhance the historic beauty of downtown Dillon. Improvements will include bulb-outs, downtown entrance arch, benches, historic lighting improvements, landscaping, and bike racks. This project is ideal for WWC to use our high-definition scanning capabilities to efficiently survey complex environments. WWC used the high-definition scanner at a downtown Dillon intersection to produce this design point cloud that can be used for engineering design and planning.
