It was a blessed weekend celebrating the youth and grateful for the opportunity to deliver the message of the day to our youth at century city conference centre. A big thank you to all those who contributed in making the event a huge success such as McDonald, Five Futbol, old mutual, SAPS. Not forgetting spring bokke for coming to show their support. And a big Congratulations to the newly elected Provincial Youth Crime Prevention desk executives. We salute you. As an encouragement to our youth, Feeling like all hope is gone can be an overwhelming and distressing experience. It is very important for our youth to remember that feeling hopeless is often temporary, that seeking help & taking proactive steps can lead to improvement. If you're struggling intensely or having thoughts of self - harm, please reach out to a crisis hotline or seek immediate professional help.
Remember! You cannot CHANGE yesterday, but you can do something TODAY that can change your tomorrow! Happy youth month.

We are proud to put smiles on our young children's faces. Empowering and encouraging them on life challenges. We thank the principal of Modderdam high for receiving us. A big thank you to those who supported this innovative.

The beauty of entertainment. It has a funny way of bringing people together.

As we celebrate Africa Day, We are proud to say " as Africans we are blessed and rich in culture". Let's be proud of who we are.

Unemployment is hurting our families and communities. Many survive on a single income and others barely make ends meet. Our families are broken. Our families are falling apart. Our families are falling into depression trying to keep their heads above water. A clear sign that we need help urgently. And as a nation we are broken.

A big thank you to all those who made this initiative a success. By putting smiles on the faces of children in the Cape flats.

It was a privilege being invited to represent the community/ organisation by attending the Indaba on Community Arts hosted at ARTSCAPE in Cape Town.

The Indaba was to reflect on the state of community arts generally and of community arts centres in particular as part of the Western Cape Community Arts Centre Development Programme supported by the national Department of Sport, Arts and Culture and the provincial Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport.

The primary outcome of the Indaba is to begin to formulate policy proposals that will integrate community arts centres (and the broader community arts sector) into local government development and cultural policies. It aims to establish a Policy and Sustainability Working Group that would formulate, advocate for and monitor policies related to the community arts sector and arts centres as key vehicles to make the arts accessible to people in the Western Cape and as means for human, social and economic development.

CAMPRI EVENTS, Women Moving Souls and other organizations felt overwhelmed as our art was not just being recognized but accepted as one of the best arts in our communities. We will keep walking the walk and talk the talk. And together we will make the change we all seek.

This amazing initiative (Indaba) was organised by the STAND Foundation and the Community Arts Centre Network of the Western Cape.

Finished off with a brilliant performance by Kunene and the King by John Kani and featuring Michael Richards (Artscape Theatre).

The beauty of sharing, caring and loving one another. The community needs more love than hate. A big thank you to all the youth who took part in this initiative and to the sponsors.

It was a day blessed for others. As the under privilege received clothes, shoes from people who gave a helping hand. Not new but helped to put a smile on their faces. A big thank you to those who supported this initiative and donated to the needy.

The value of work! For some of us who came from humble beginnings, our greatest inheritance was the value of work.
We were taught that, if you want anything in life you must work for it.
But Today's youth have a huge appetite for things they didn't work for.
This seems okay and celebrated by some parents.

A big thank you to unexpected opportunities, for collaborating with us to make Human Rights Day special for the community of Bonteheuwel. Working together is key.

Taking time to educate and empower a child, is the best thing a parent can ever do. Educating children in our community and keeping them out of the streets is our priority in the cape flats in order for them to become better citizens in future.
