Our Story
Italian with a dash of continental and cosmopolitan, the lively sporty-type atmosphere within Vini's has been created with the inclusion of a diversity of colorful country and Italian football team flags . Opened in 1992 by Billy Anderson and now owned and run by his daughter Kirstie front of house General manageress and son Marc the company head chef .
The restaurant becomes busy but is very airy and spacious . For those that like the outdoors it has a stunning Italian style patio type dining area with candles, Italian water feature and olive tree's .
The lively, bustling atmosphere is further heightened on a Sunday lunch with live music with Dave Abbot ( from Abbot and Crabb ) or a stand in if he is not available .
Although Vini's is in essence a Italian restaurant its menu dares to be different by crossing the Italian borders to bring a delightful selection of European continental fare, the lamb Masala, Pollo pizza, pork ribs, baby chicken and sea food come highly recommended . For private functions Vini's offers a sumptuous set of set menu's .
During these difficult times of of load-shedding 90% of our food is prepared on gas stoves and in our wood-burning oven , plus we have invested in a generator so Vini’s can carry on trading and looking after our customers no matter what Eskom throws at us .
