We are a dynamic and growing organization in the accounting sector. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Clerk to join our team. If you have a passion for numbers, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to learn, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
Accurately type, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records.
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and financial statements.
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
Enter key financial transaction data into the database.
Assist company personnel with accounting-related tasks.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Compile reports and summaries on activity areas.
Assist with income tax matters and contact SARS (South African Revenue Service).
Requirements:
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
Data entry and word processing skills.
Qualifications:
Matric certificate (additional accounting qualifications are a plus).
Valid driver’s license (required).
