NOTE REGARDING APPOINTMENT BOOKINGS:

I do not have a secretary. As such, I cannot take phone calls for appointment bookings as I feel it's unprofessional (as well as a time waster) to take phone calls when I'm with patients.

Please send me a WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook message or email to set an appointment or ask any questions you may have and I'll be more than happy to help you out.

A united statement of the global chiropractic research community against the pseudoscientific claim that chiropractic care boosts immunity 06/05/2020

Please take note: There is currently ZERO evidence that chiropractic treatment boosts the immune system. Chiropractic care is solely aimed at treating the musculoskeletal system.

A united statement of the global chiropractic research community against the pseudoscientific claim that chiropractic care boosts immunity In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) posted reports claiming that chiropractic care can impact the immune system. These claims clash with recommendations from the World Health Organization and World Federation of Chiropractic. We discuss the sci...

TO ALL MY PATIENTS: As of 5 May 2020 I'm seeing all my routine/"non-emergency" patients along with any emergency/essential patients once again.

When you book an appointment I will ask you a set of questions prior to confirming your appointment as there are still some restrictive guidelines I need to follow from one patient to the next.

If any of the following conditions apply to you, please reconsider booking an appointment as these place you at higher risk of infection:
- aged over 60 years old
- pre-existing lung conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease e.g. emphysema, chronic bronchitis and other chronic lung conditions
- hypertension
- auto-immune diseases
- organ transplant recipient
- obesity
- liver or kidney conditions
- immuno-compromised
- cancer

Please take note of the requirements below as these pertain to you.

27/03/2020

Please take note of the times I will be available during the lockdown period. I will not be at Klinicare if I don't have any patients booked. Please contact me if you would like to make an appointment during Klinicare's operating hours.

Timeline photos 25/03/2020

Dear patients,

We have been notified by AHPCSA that as healthcare workers, we are allowed to continue working over this lockdown period, though the final list is yet to be released so this stance may change.

We have spent a considerable amount of time on what course of action to take. We have decided that it is in the best interests of our patients to continue working so as not to overburden the already strained healthcare system. We feel that we need to do our part in easing the immense load of healthcare workers that have to focus on COVID-19 patients by treating patients that would otherwise have to seek alternative methods of treatment at e.g. hospitals, general practitioners, etc.

So, as it stands right now, we'll continue to see patients. As far as we know, the final list will be released before 23:59 on 26 March. If we are not on the list, we will let you all know and will contact any patients that we might have scheduled.

We will continue using the prescribed recommendations laid out by the CDC when treating our patients. We ask that our patients arrive at their consults at their SPECIFIC consult time to avoid contact with other patients and to give us time to disinfect our rooms between patients. Please do not bring family or friends with to the consult.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Do your best to not go out unnecessarily over this period. You are all in our thoughts.

PLEASE NOTE: There a lot of stories going around that chiropractic helps strengthen the immune system and as such it's a protection against COVID-19. This is ABSOLUTELY FALSE and is being used to make a quick buck off of people by using the fear and panic surrounding this pandemic. There has been no evidence to support this. Please be careful what you read.

16/03/2020

PLEASE NOTE: I am implementing these measures at my practice to ensure my patients are in safe hands.

Minimise panic, educate and help beat COVID-19

Your CASA registered chiropractors follow the strict guidelines of the NICD and CDC with regard to sanitation and hygiene within their practice settings. We want to keep you, the patient, out of harms way and minimize your risk of contracting Corona virus.

Below are some general reminders to keep you safe when next visiting your chiropractor.

1. Please ensure you have informed your chiropractor if you have travelled internationally within the last 2 weeks and experiencing any symptoms (fever, sore throat etc).

2. Wash your hands with soap and water (for 20 seconds) or use alcohol sanitizers provided by your practitioner. This should be done every few hours or if you have sneezed or coughed.

3. Limit the amount of door handles and surfaces that you touch. This includes your mouth, eyes and nose. The less contact there is the less chance you have of contracting the virus.

4. Bring your own pen to your appointment to avoid cross contamination in the office space.

5. Keep your distance (2m) when speaking to your chiropractor or other patients in the waiting room.

6. Try not to bring family and friends to your appointments. This will reduce the number of people that may be potentially exposed to the virus.

If you suspect you are infected with COVID-19 please contact the hotline on 0800 029 999.
