One of the hallmark traits of great leaders is their ability to build great teams with the expertise to help the organization achieve its vision and, in the process, fulfilled its purpose. These leaders have the wisdom to give their team the freedom to produce great work because it makes no sense to recruit the best and micromanage their work.

It's counterproductive; it will affect your team's morale and, in the process, create a very dysfunctional place to work. When you have a great group of passionate, inspired, and motivated people eager to make a difference, give them the freedom to work, create an environment that allows them to become the very best version of themselves.

When leaders recognize that they don't have to be the smartest person in the room, these are the companies that consistently pull off innovative or heroic feats in business because so many of the people who work there are given the freedom to make it happen.

True leaders make themselves unnessecary. They work themselves out of a job. They focus on replacing themselves, instead of basking in the glory or authority of the position.

Think about the greatest leader of all time. Jesus left, and his organisarion grew in His absence. He proved His greatness by leaving.

If you die today, what will happen to your business, your church, your family? If it dies with you, you have failed as a leader. Identify your succesors and mentor them. Coach and train them.

What happens in your absence?

That’s your legacy.

The way that God speaks to us is always loving, respectful and encouraging, no matter how much we mess up. The analogy of Jesus with His bride still applies perfectly. This is why it’s so important for us to have a true perspective on Who God really is. He is not the ‘faultfinder’ that religion has made Him out to be. If you know His voice, you’ll know that the first statement is 100% true. God uplifts and empowers. He speaks to our potential, not about our shortcomings. We always feel better when God speaks to us, no matter the circumstance.

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her...” (Ephesians 5:25) Does your wife feel better after you’ve spoken to her?

A question I’ll often ask a wife who’s talking to or about her husband in a specific way is: “Do you talk to God like that?” Her look says: “How can you compare the two?” Well, if marriage is supposed to be a representation of the divine Bridegroom and His Bride, that is the model we base our conduct on, right? We understand unconditional honor and respect when it comes to how we speak to God and often miss his instruction to women to do the same. Unconditional respect is as much an instruction as unconditional love... Our ability to be great spouses should flow from our relationship with God.

“For it is written, I will baffle and render useless and destroy the learning of the learned and the philosophy of the philosophers and the cleverness of the clever and the discernment of the discerning; I will frustrate and nullify [them] and bring [them] to nothing...Has God not shown up the nonsense and the folly of this world’s wisdom?...Christ is the Power of God and the Wisdom of God.”

It might sound like a very noble idea to put your children’s needs above all else. For mothers, especially, that seems like the natural default. However, it is crucial to keep in mind that the very best thing for your child is the security and example of a great marriage.

One of the most important contributors to a happy marriage is the principle of priority. A marriage in which your spouse does not feel like the number one priority, even above the children, will eventually run into trouble or at least grow cold.

As hard as it may be for people to reprioritize, your spouse needs to come before your children. That is exactly how you prioritize your child’s most important needs.

According to God’s design, a happy marriage is the foundation of a healthy family in which children can grow up as strong individuals, that can in turn have great relationships.

The healthy family has the most important building blocks to help a child grow up spiritually, mentally, physically and relationally.

The following is an example of a wise order of priorities: God, spouse, children, family/friends, career, hobbies.

Too many believers who seem to take things lying down, because they are unaware of their true authority. The Enemy’s having a field day with our marriages, families, health, finances, careers, etc. If more believers properly studied the bible for themselves they would realize that we seem to miss half of the gospel. We have so much authority. Yet, we can’t exercise what we don’t know we have. Will a lion take his orders from a mouse?
