Requirements for this position:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Experience in hospitality essential
- Excellent customer relations
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written)
- High level of telephone etiquette and communication skills
- Required to work flexible hours
- Professional at all times when working with staff or guests
- To respond to changes in your job description as required by the company from time to time
- Effective leadership through professional management of staff and sub-ordinates
- Guide guests on all game drives, night drives, and bush-walks
- Assist in all other departments when required.
- Field Guide FGASA level 1 or 2
- Up-to-date and valid ARH
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Drivers license, PDP, and own transport essential
- DEAT registered
- Backup trails guide FGASA 1 or 2 and Lead Trails guide will be an added benefit
- Computer literate
- Must be in good physical health

Live-in accommodation is included.

Salary will be based on experience.

Exciting things are on their way in 2023

January is often referred to as “JanuWorry” because when the New Year Party comes it also goes…and it takes, your money in one hand while giving you 3 extra weeks in one month, along with some scary new beginnings, you feel you must diet after Xmas feasting, and some of us find it sad to put away those beautiful Christmas decorations.
But let us look at a few reasons why we Should celebrate the rest of January instead:

1. The new Ford Ranger Raptor is one of our favourite new car introductions for 2023. The new-generation Raptor welcomes a powerful 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 engine, which drives all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission and offers peak outputs of 292 kW and 583 Nm.
2. According to cars.co.za GWM may introduce a more powerful bakkie on the local market.” The Shanhai Cannon can be had with three powertrains including a 137 kW 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine, a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine with 260 kW and 500 Nm or a 2.0-litre petrol hybrid derivative. We are hoping the potent V6 petrol engine is on the cards!”
3. The Jolion has been a sales success for Haval ever since it made landfall in South Africa in April 2021. This year they have the introduction of a sportier Jolion, but wait... there is more, they also have the Jolion Hybrid in the second half of 2023. The “Jolion S” is powered by an updated version of the standard model’s turbocharged 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with 130 kW and 270 Nm which is 25 kW and 60 Nm more than the standard Jolion and comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Just to mention a few of the specs.
4. As per Cars.co.za they have a good feeling that the giant D-Max Arctic Truck will be introduced on local soil in 2023. And we at Ge**er 4x4 Conversions are all for it. Let it go Isuzu were waiting for your new release!
5. We also heard that Jeep SA confirmed that two new models are due to reach South Africa in 2023. While currently under consideration for introduction in South Africa, the Commander might become exposed in 2023 or 2024. The Commander will be Jeep’s answer to the popular Toyota Fortuner, Ford Everest, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Isuzu MU-X and Haval H9. The Meridian (Commander) makes use of a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine with 125 kW and 350 Nm on offer and can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
6. To celebrate 75 years of the iconic Defender, Land Rover will introduce the Defender 75th Limited Edition to South Africa in early 2023. Only 10 (short 90 and long wheelbase 110) will be offered in South Africa and all will be in D300 form. The Defender 75th Limited Edition is finished in Grasmere Green paint and boasts what Land Rover describes as “unique detailing”. This exterior hue has been reserved for the special-edition model and is repeated on the 20-inch alloy wheels, which are wrapped in all-terrain rubber as standard.
7. The new RX luxury crossover is expected to reach local Lexus showrooms in the first quarter of 2023 and up to 6 RX derivatives can be expected, but it is not yet clear what derivatives will be offered locally. The RX derivatives include Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, F Sport Handling, and the range-topping F-Sport Performance. The RX range starts with the RX350 which now employs a turbocharged 2.4-litre petrol engine with 205 kW and 429 Nm of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The RX350 will be offered in either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive configuration and note that this is the only non-hybrid RX on offer.
8. The Scorpio-N is Mahindra’s new ladder-frame midsized SUV offering and it is expected to go on sale early in 2023. The new Mahindra Scorpio-N will come in both petrol and diesel flavours, with customers being able to choose from either a manual or automatic transmission.
