Our Story
In 2020 we were doing life as per normal and a pandemic hit our nation, infact this pandemic unknown virus spread throughout the world. No one knew what to expect or if they or their loved ones would live through this pandemic. Many people lost their jobs and we were locked down, the entire country was locked down. A few people worked as they were essential workers the rest of the country either lived off savings, UIF or minimal wage. Some people was fortunate enough to earn their full salary and keep their job, as for me Beverley I loved cooking and my daughter opted to be retrenched as she was laid off without pay. I then received a gas tank and stove from my partner and started BEV’s KITCHEN - selling Roti and Curry to family and hot chips in the area. We then continued selling and most of our finances went into purchasing stock, but we continued and still selling to the community and outside New Horizons. We want to offer a good service with quality dishes at affordable prices.
